The little things are the best. This morning before work (around 7:30 AM) I went to Home Depot in Joanie mode for some assorted items. I was wearing a cotton LS top with an orange background and covered in small dark flowers, with black capris and sneakers. I had on minimal makeup and jewelry. I went in and asked an older man where the mouse traps were, he said "they're over there", and then said "let me take you" and led me there. When I thanked him, he replied "yes, ma'am". After I picked up the rest of my items I went to the checkout, where one of the ladies pointed to another lady, probably in her 50s, and said "this young lady will help you". They were both very friendly. When I was about done, another customer, a woman, asked if "that cart" (mine) was empty. My cashier said, "yeah, she's already checked out", meaning me. Then she said "thank you, ma'am" after I paid. All in all, a great morning.

Great experience, Joanie! Sometimes the minimum is more convincing in blending in. CD's tend to overdress.

Joanie - Tyou hat is wonderful. Most of my trips to HD are not so affirming.
