So today was the day of my SO's knee replacement operation. Up just after 06:00, at the hospital to get booked in before 07:00. Shown to her room, we sat as various medical personnel came with questions to be answered, measurements taken, charts to be filled. After an hour or so it was getting towards preparations beginning in earnest so about 09:00 I headed off home.

So now nothing to do but wait and as I was home alone, what else could I do but take advantage and dress. With 7-8 hours to fill before I'd be heading back to the hospital here was the chance to go pretty well full on except sans makeup. I get chances to do the same most weeks but it's for about 4 hours and this was going to be double that and having that time felt good. I had things to do, bed linen to strip and wash as well as a few towels.

I'd also bought some boob tape off Amazon and collected it from a locker on the way back from the hospital and this was my opportunity to experiment with using it to create cleavage. First attempt not so good. Didn't anticipate it being so stretchy and it ended up in a tangle. Second try went much better, Taking the backing off as you apply it seems to do the trick. this was the first time also I'd worn nipple covers which I'll describe as interesting.

Dressed, got on with the chores, later made lunch. Had some sewing to do so got on with that. Cardboard to cut up for recycling. All things filling my femme time.

A call to the hospital mid afternoon. Patient doing well and recovering from the anaesthesia. So by 17:00 back to drab to go see the patient. A few hours spend chatting but a tired lady so was time to depart once more so she can rest. Home to again get changed, made my evening meal and spent the rest of the evening dressed just watching TV and spending time online.

More home alone time tomorrow before off to see how the patient fairs in the afternoon as the physio terrorists will no doubt be in during the morning to get that knee mobile ASAP. All being well she'll be discharged either tomorrow evening or Saturday and then the hard work of exercising that new knee joint kicks in for earnest.

A high school classmate has had both knees replaced a year apart. He refers to PT as "prescribed torture."

I love days like this. My wife knows about my dressing and encourages it.
I have the odd 4 hours here and there but to have a full day and evening would be amazing
Wishing your S/O a speedy recovery x

Good luck to you and your wife Helen. Your wife after rehabilitation will come back as a bionic woman.Hopefully you will have the talk and have a positive outcome.

As a veteran of two knee replacements, I agree with the term physio terrorist! However, they are an essential part of this particular recovery, and you will also discover that they cannot count, especially when they want you to do ten repetitions of an exercise. Here you are working through the pain of bending your still stitched up knee, they get to seven, then talk to you about something unrelated. Next thing you know, the count is at five!
I wish your wife a speedy recovery, and tell her to do the homework too.

Hope your wife tolerates the recovery period. My wife had a knee replacement and the physical therapy was a killer when it came to pain. Turned out her physical therapist had her being to aggressive. At first she said she would not have had it done, but now is satisfied with the post recovery results. Now, she needs the other knee replaced. I can think of better ways to get some alone time for Stephanie to appear.

I'm not sure how your dressing will help your SO, Helen? But, if it helps u to help her thru what I've heard will be a very difficult recovery period?

Then, go for it!:battingeyelashes:
