Ashley is pretty much a closet dresser but does get excited about going out dressed where she can stay away from most people but still feel like she is a girl out doors> The park is perfect and Ashley goes for lots of walks dressed casually and not too attention getting.

How do others satisfy their urges to get out?

I go out as often as I can, and is something I look forward to each time. For me, opportunity dictates how often I do this, rather than a specific amount each week/month. Sometimes I devise a reason to go alone, sometimes with friends when the situation presents itself. My favorite opportunities have been at the large gatherings of like minded CD/TG persons like Keystone. The camaraderie is nothing short of inspirational for me.

I dress up almost daily.
I guess I am a full time girl now.

twice today - pre-work coffee and had lunch at the mall.
My daughter wanted her summer dresses back as it's getting warm here now, but she left them on my couch and I decided 'one last time" before she actually removes them from my house

Not as often as I would like. I do dress on long car trips - I am not shy about remaining dressed for meals on the road (and often at home).

As I've posted many times, my only real opportunities to go out are when Helen takes a week's holiday from home and then it's 24/7.

I was the case that each year the first time out would feel just like that, the first time with the associated nerves. Now I just pick up were I left off and hit the ground running so to speak.

So for 6 days it's out the house in the morning and then all day outandaboutery, might return to eat and change and then go on to somewhere for a night out.

And I love every second of it. I've met loads of others from our wider community as well as members from the forum. Really looking forward to my next week away in March next year.

Jamie and I belong to (some of) the same groups and have been together at trans/CD Meetups many times. For those in the DC area (any beyond) we always welcome new girls.

Me too. And you can join us in March. It's not a matter of luck, but planning and finances.

For years i enjoyed public Crossdressing ventures while on overnight business trips since retiring my outings are very limited hopefully someday I will introduce my Jill side to my wife and get back to more public Crossdressing.

I grab my purse and go.
I've been going out for nearly 20 years. The first year was tense and certainly a learning experience. Now it's just natural.

About once or twice a month, how opportunity, time and reason meet.

I've been already in opera en femme and it was fabulous. Will go again to see another one.

I do whatever I need to do, dressed as often as possible. Time and schedule for me are the only things that prevent me from doing so more often.

Be smart, be appropriate (for your age, body type and situation), be confident and be visible and you can never go wrong outside the normal risks of the world today.

Nope. I'm closeted. I feel no need to, besides people already think I am strange enough. I don't need to add THAT to the mix.

I go out when I can, but the opportunities are becoming more rare. I'm in a DADT relationship with my wife, and she used to work a lot of night shifts and sleep in the day, so I was able to go out at night or in the mornings.
She has now stopped working nights, so that has almost come to an end.
I get up really early on Saturdays to do grocery shopping, and I sometimes get dressed to do that, but keep a change of clothes in the car for when I return.

I do. I have an elderly lady friend that I drive to en femme mostly without a wig. She and her family are so supportive. I would much rather visit friends than go to public places although I have done that as well.

I have been to around 50 bars and clubs around the US. I posted most of the list here

https://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?283931-Places-I-have-been-to-Crossdressed

I have been to my favorite clubs many times. It has been a lot of fun over the past 8 years or so. Unfortunately my travels have dropped to near zero lately, so I have not been out much. Maybe next year. Clubbing is by far my favorite activity for crossdressing. I have posted about it a number of times if you are interested in reading some long posts. It is mind boggling how differently I am treated when dressed vs male mode. No comparison at all. Weird but true.

I like to take a little drive, maybe getting out at a secluded spot. When I get all made up, I got over my fears and like to go looking around some stores. Best of all is to meet up with another CD.

Often underdressed; sometimes androgenous dressed; occasionally fully femme, minus wig or make-up.

i have gone out dressed to at least 12 local restaurants, at least 6 local bars. I have gone out to Lowe's, Home Depot, Target, multiple grocery stores, CVS, Harbor Freight, Advance Auto, Walmart, Michael's, and most other chain and local stores. I have ridden Amtrak from Durham, NC to Washington, DC. I go out dressed to put the trash/recycling out, and to retrieve them. I have gone dressed to get pedicures and manicures. I went dressed to get a skirt altered. I go dressed to Sarah P Duke gardens and walk a mile or so dressed, seeing many people. I've driven from home to the coast and stayed dressed 24/7 for a few days. I've pulled our camping trailer to campgrounds an hour from home and stayed dressed 24/7. So yes, I go out :-)

Where have I NOT gone dressed? Medical appointments, airplane flights, family get-togethers (other than my daughter and her family). I hope to do the first two sometime -- the family thing is hard, though I know ultimately they would be supportive.

Out to shop and country walk in coat, dress and boots last weekend in Cotswolds. The sheep didn't care.

I do go out dressed, but it would be fair to say that it is a re-started thing for me.

When I was between 18 and 30 (or so), I would do the classic stupid (no offense if that is what you like to do ... but yes, it is in fact stupid!) late night drives and walks in the dark supposedly quiet places with nobody around.

Between age 30 and ~50 I would go out frequently to T-conventions, and I would also meet up with a group of CD's and TS's I knew well. We would party in private homes, go to clubs, restaurants and so on. Maybe 3-4 times in a year, so not exactly crazy but enough.
The following 15+ years were the dark ages for me when it comes to my girl/female side. Long story, and details might be shared some other time. I did not dress much and did not go out at all during that time

2024 has changed everything for me!
I need to start writing about how my life has completely changed, but for now I will just say that it has indeed completely changed.
So far this year, I have been out as a woman alone; with friends; and even with my wife. There a good chance I will have a couple more out and about sessions before the year is over.

It is a long story and maybe a little unfair to leave it as a cliff hanger, but I really need to start that story from beginning.
So ... more to come!

Bottom line is, yes I do go out dressed and behaving like a woman. I enjoy it a lot, and I would like to do it even more in the future.
You ask why? I have no fuc.... idea, but I love doing it! Will that do?

Have I gone out dressed? Yes, virtually all the time. I even flew from DFW to Chicago Midway and back wearing dresses. I go to church, doctor appointments, go shopping, etc. The last time I wore trousers was at my mother's funeral (visitation and service) in late September.

Occasionally if the opportunity arises. Have been out to events and a few venues in the UK and abroad. Always love it and feel great as a result. Hoping to get a weekend away this month in Blackpool.

Only panties underneath. 99% of my wardrobe is romantic lingerie/sleepwear so I can't wear that in public! :heehee:

Yes, I go out dressed, although it's only a couple of times a year. I've gone shopping in malls and thrift stores, had my nails done, and eaten at several restaurants without any issues. I always wish that I could do more, but am happy with the time I do get.

Hi Ladies!

I go out dressed quite often, but it?s not what you might think. I am not yet ready to present myself as fully female in public. However, I do enjoy dressing fully in female clothes in public. I?ll provide an example:
Yesterday, my partner and I went shopping at various stores in town. From bottom to top, I was wearing a pair of unisex Hey Dude slip-on shoes, trouser socks, panties, women?s jeans, a T-shirt bra (no pads), long sleeve button down floral blouse under a navy blue women?s zip-up sweater. I had a pearl necklace under the sweater and a bracelet on.
My makeup was simple: moisturizer, color-correcting foundation, concealer in a few places, light touch of mascara on my bottom lashes, and just a hint of blush on my upper cheeks, all set with a neutral powder. I wore my favorite perfume, which I find intoxicating.
I wore no wig or hip pads. Nearly every male and most women would quickly read me as a man. However, the discerning woman might pick out the subtle clues, which actually adds to the excitement of being out in public dressed in this inconspicuous manner!
