There's another post here asking why we dress? There r many reasons you've listed there. But, I think #1 for me is seeing a sexy woman that looks nothing like Robert in the mirror!:daydreaming:
But, knowing she IS me simply throws fuel on the fire.:o

I often look at photos of Sherry and think, "No way that's me!?":eek:

I have often expressed my opinion here about dressing to blend.:doh:
I rarely dress to look plain. So, I don't dress out to vanilla venues for that reason.:thumbsdn:

Yeah, I think I am a bit too old to think sexy, but I do know when I have done a good job.
At first I always wanted to blend in but as things have progressed I am more confident to stand out a little.
I still dress what I think is age appropriate (no mini skirts or tank tops showing my muffin top) but I think stylish is key for me.

Jumping in here to say that you can dress appropriately while still standing out in a good way. Dressing to blend does not have to mean dressing boring. You're not gonna wear a club outfit to a supermarket, but you might get away with with a sexy workout outfit. I'm not talking a leotard and tights. Something more appropriate, leggings and a crop top could be very attractive looking and a little bit pushing the envelope, but not totally out of place on a saturday running errands. SkippingThe heels doesn't have to be the end of your fun.

I definitely do Doc, I wear beautiful/romantic lingerie to bed and I love the way it looks and feels on me, not to mention I have a boyfriend who loves how I look in it so I definitely feel sexy and am in a sexy mood when I wear it.

When I wear shiny nylon tights with a silky shiny leotard and heels I feel sexy. Still a kid stuck in the 80's. Otherwise I am not sure that I feel sexy dressed. I do try to dress as what I deem sexy. Yet the dressing does SO much more for me than feeling sexy. Again the world is right when I am dressed.

Yes, I used to put Sexy at the top of the list, but as I've matured that's changed.
Now I prefer to feel Sensual rather than look Sexy. The distinction for me is emotional. Sexy is sometimes difficult to pull off if you don't have all the features and may come off as trashy.

I visited a woman friend in Eastbourne earlier this year as she said I could spend the time en femme. She gave me a sexy dress to try which was way more sexy than I usually wear. I wore it with full make up and wig and she said you are gorgeous and so sexy. You should dress like that more often. She was so excited she wanted to take me clubbing. She was so taken with how I looked. For me it was an enormous compliment but slightly out of my comfort zone.

I definitely always try to nail the "sexy" look. I love bodycon outfits and anything else, like pantyhose, that form fit my body. I also am obsessed with bright colors and enjoy bright pink/blue long wigs, fishnets, heels, minidresses, and matching makeup and nail polish. But I also like mixing bright pink/blue with black minidresses, skirts, tops, etc. I don't really know what to call it, but it's sort of that "e-girl" look that I really love.

I do have some natural colored wigs, more tame outfits, shoes, etc...but Chloe (I'm speaking in the third person) is obsessed with bright, flashy colors and outfits/accents that show off her body. I still am working to perfect my skills with makeup, but, overall, when I'm looking in the mirror or reviewing photos of myself, I'm like, "daaaamn, girl! You look sexy as hell!" :daydreaming:

I'll have to join this discussion. I think part of the reason we dress is to look a least to ourselves is sexy. Maynot miniskirt and busty sexy but just plain good looking sexy. Nice slacks and blouse a litle care shown in the makeup, no boobs hanging out. Just plain good looking. Certainly not turning heads in the mall, well, maybe a few, Just out having a nice time and admiring ourselves. To me that is a nice day out

No I don't dress sexy at all in my opinion.
I dress how I feel most comfortable. Most always longer dresses,
but in the summer months when it is warmer I will wear dresses that are slightly above the knee.
But that is about as sexy as it gets here. Almost never have even a wig on.
So a guy in a long dress, Yeah,. Not sexy. :heehee:

Very interesting thread as I read all of the replies. Now that I am in what would be called the mature, classy lady category I want to project an image that is appealing to others when I am out as Sarah. The big change came whenI started going out into the public. I always dress to fit the occasion, but still appealing in my presentation. So, I don't dress "sexy" but there is a "sensual" side to my style.

I sent to Jacque's in Boston yesterday in a Long Purple wig, short dress and print leggings. That's about as sexy as I get. At my age classy older lady is the best I can really aspire to.
