i owned it this morning. i had to go to a local lab to have some bloodwork done and chose to go in all femme clothes but totally male. I wore my usual panties and bra under a pair of women's skinny jeans and a woman's v neck linen tshirt. i wore unisex shoes and a blue jean jacket over the clothes since the weather has cooled a bit. I added my faux pearls to complete the outfit. i also did some subtle but obvious makeup including eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara.

My bloodwork was done within fifteen minutes of arriving at the lab. I left there and went to a local bakery for takeout breakfast souffles. i felt confident and carried on a normal conversation with the phlebotomist and had a nice interaction with the cashier at the bakery. it was an inspiring outing.

Overall, i was seen by maybe 20 people and felt comfortable even though i knew that i stood out a bit, especially with the pearls.

Bea: Congratulations on such a successful day out and about. These days, if Tom and Judy Muggle treat us with respect, I call it a successful encounter. You were dressed tastefully and appropriately for what you were doing, and your normal demeanor was unlikely to cause anyone to 'bat an eye'.

Well done indeed!

Best regards,
Rhonda

Bea, I like your approach and may try to emulate it to a degree. I see no reason whatsoever that guys can?t cross those lines in clothing that woman do every day. I think the pearls might be the hardest thing for me to display, perhaps some less dramatic necklace I might try.

Good for you. I hope it provided a sense of calm knowing that you can fit your standards into the real world.

No matter how you slice it that takes courage.

A triumph for sure. So wonderful to go out with confidence and be yourself.

That is the one thing I have to applaud yourself and everyone here for the courage and confidence it must take to walk out that door. I believe beside the pearls you were dressed appropriately and not looking for the wrong attention.
Give yourself a bat on your shoulder for me because you deserve it. Looking forward to reading about your next adventure.

Absolutely. The beard and the femme cues offset each other perfectly to give me exactly the look I was going for this morning. I love being a dude. I also love being an irregular dude.

Bea...I am loving your steps in the direction of being you. I have been doing some similar changes based on my activity (skinny jeans, colorful tops, and I have expanded with some necklaces, too).
