... and I am very sore, full of wind (burp / guff) and constipated. Had a dose of senna last night, which doesn't seem to be to working at the moment

However... I am quite happy

It has been a minute since anyone asked, so I will. How are you?

Thank you for asking me Natalie. It's really sweet of you

To be honest, I am not feeling too good after my gender affirmation surgery. Although I am happy with the results, and glad I went through with it, I am experiencing some concerns and I am not sure if it's because I am not healing properly or whether they are natural

The concerns I have are:

- I still feel very swollen and sore. The feeling I get is similar to the 'old days; when I used to tuck. It still feels like there is something pulled up between my legs
- I am having to wear panty liners on a daily basis due to the fact that I am still getting a discharge on them. This was something I had to do immediately after surgery, but I would have thought the discharge would have stopped by now. Being crude, it's not from where I am 'not wiping properly' - after I wipe I always tend to have a quick wash with soap and water to remove any residue
- I am feeling discomfort when I am going to the bathroom. I regularly get a burning /stinging sensation I know it's not thrush or any kind of disease
- I experience a regular dull ache in my left hand pubic bone / mons pubis region, especially when pressure is applied to it
- I get discomfort when I move from standing to sitting, from sitting to standing and when crossing my legs
- My vaginal area regularly feels 'dry' and it feels like it's ripping or tearing (but not the the extent where there is any blood)
- I am still having trouble moving and carrying heavy objects. For any distance walking I have to rely in sticks (which I hate doing)

I have got an appointment with my surgeon in a few weeks time where he will hopefully give me some answers. I want him to give me a slap and say "you're imagining it. There is nothing wrong with you" rather than finding out there are underlying problems

The surgery involves changes to a lot of parts. Recovery will take some time. Don’t hesitate to call the doctor if you have concerns. Hopefully, each day will be better.
