View Full Version : My New Year's Eve

So I decided to go to NYE party to one LGBT friendly club as Marketa. Even if I count my male-self it was for the first time in my life. Last like 15 years he spent at home and before that just smaller "parties" with friends (up to 8-10 people).

Anyway long story short: I enjoyed it :)

I almost didn't go because the night before I didn't have enough sleep and at 7 PM I thought I'll go to bed. But then I thought, that it's not work, it's not school, it's a party and I am an adult so I can leave whenever I'll want, so I decided to push through and go. I really did my best with my make-up and put on the false lashes and in all modesty I nailed it and looked fabulous. That's why it took me 1,5 hour instead of usual half of that time. I'm sorry but due to time constraints no photos this time :(

I went there and because it was getting to 10 PM I thought I'll be late, but then I saw the amount of people in the streets obviously still going to parties (I took a tram), so I lost all my "fears" that I'm late. In the club there was a lot of Ls and Gs unsurprisingly, few CDs (I'm 100% positive about 4 + me) and I even met a TG we clicked with immediately. I was told I'm beautiful several times even by GGs, I was hit on and been bought drinks (that was fun) and I socialized and danced with few strangers quite a lot and to all I introduced as Marketa and everybody took me like that. I really enjoyed the night, but I know I won't go for some time. Clubbing isn't for me or at least not in frequency worth mentioning.

But it wasn't just fun, because I lost the only bead from my bracelet (it's just cheap junk, but nice cheap junk), then I lost a prominent metal "feature" from my minibag. It was glued just on one small patch, as I found out (cost cutting, sigh), but after I'll carefully clean the glue patch it's still 100% usable and nice minibag. And somehow I was also able to lose my brand new never used make-up powder. There goes $14.

But those are just small smudges on overall amazing night, so even though I'm not happy about these they didn't ruin the night for me.

And Helen, thousand times thank you for the trick with cotton wool in the tip of my shoes. It took about a day of trying, adjusting and test-walking to get the amount of the wool right and for it to settle and get the shape of the fingers, but thanks to this hack (as the cool kids call it nowadays) I spent the whole night from about 9:30 PM till 5 AM in my top favourite most beloved shoes without any problems, pain or issues and tbh quite comfortably. Or at least as comfortably as it gets in 10cm/4in heels. So thank you for that once again, it works like a charm.

Marketa,

I'm glad that you got to go out for New Years Eve.
I bet you got hit on a LOT considering the pictures you have posted in the past.
No matter all the small negative aspects of the evening, I'm sure you will remember the occasion and want to venture out more frequently in the new year.

Happy New Year Marketa! And thanks for sharing your night out! So many positive moments that I am sure you will remember later, not the insignificant little hiccups.

Sounds like a really good time. By the way I was never interested in clubbing as a male in the past, But it is a lot different when crossdressed. I eventually got hooked on it.

Amy, pumps and similar shoes get uncomfortable or even painful to wear because your feet slide forward and then your toes are squished. So Helen gave me an advice after one of my first outings, after which I complained about my shoes, to put cotton wool into the tip of the shoes, put them on and walk in them at home. And add or remove bits of the cotton as you need. After a while the cotton gets squished into the tip of the shoes and gets shaped by your fingers, so your feet won't slide forward. Basically you'll get bespoke filler.

I tried it with few shoes but the NYE was my first real world test and as I mentioned it worked beautifully, once I got the amount of the cotton right. I managed the whole night and if it weren't for my tiredness in general I could continue even longer without any issues, so whole day high heels won't be a problem. And I didn't mention I had pantyhose, which slide like a butter in taller high heels, like in the ones I had, but even that wasn't problem.

But as I tried it, 1 day of adjusting is really an absolute minimum. I put the cotton in them when I was on home office and I adjusted the amount and position few times during morning hours and then spent whole day in them. I definitely recommend longer time just to be sure you've got it right, because I feel that I was just lucky to get the amount and position of the wool right relatively soon.

Happy New Year, so happy you had a good time. Judging from your pictures I'm sure you got hit on and asked to dance.
