As I posted before, I had to cancel a week away in last November due to my SO undergoing knee surgery. So I re-booked for a week in March that would enable me to include a night at a support group and meet up with a few I've known for some years now. Well family demands have again arisen and my services are required that week. Thankfully I'd paid a little extra both times so I was able to cancel the accommodation without any great financial loss.
Also, luckily, I hadn't posted about my usual offer of acting as chaperone to anyone thinking of going out or meeting others from our community for the first time and haven't the need to offer another grovelling apology.
I have now been able to re-re-book accommodation for a week earlier in March and so I'm hopefully now in a secure position, unless the gods have really taken a dislike to me, to offer one of Helen's all inclusive, fully tailored, hardly any expense made, meet-ups in Manchester's Gay village.
When I hear you cry. Wednesday 12th March say I. Debs who has joined me for the past few years and I will be in Manchester from about midday. So we can take you shopping, to a welcoming wig salon to get the barnet of your dreams, fancy riding on a tram? Or perhaps just meet us for a night in a LGBTQ friendly pub or three. We try to make thing suit you.
So come on you newbies or those longing to take that step over the threshold in a safe environment. Sign up today.
Or, if reticent, let me know what it would take for you to take that step. Logistics I can understand but what else holds you back? Let me know and perhaps we can find a way to calm your fears. Those who have gone before you have all had an enjoyable experience. Stay overnight, Debs can keep you company the following day and we can advise on suitable hotels.
