Tomorrow I will be having a day out en femme,
My wife asked if we could go out tomorrow, somewhere different, go shopping and have lunch. I said that would be nice. She said but not with you, with her. I nearly cried with excitement and joy.
I am so lucky and appreciate having such a wonderful loving wife. This will only be my second time out in public en femme.
The Last time I had known for weeks it was going to happen, now I have less than 12 hours to prepare and gather my thoughts. Not sure how I am going to sleep tonight.
I think I?ll wear jeans and boots with a jumper / pullover and fur coat. Need to shave. Nails. Makeup. Mentally prepare.
I am bursting inside with excitement x

Hi Verona,

Enjoy your day out femme!

You may want to take some measurements as some of us have been known to gain weight over the holiday season.

It's intimidating reading how nervous and excited some of us get before going out dressed for the 1st time! U sound like a nervous 16 y/o going to her 1st prom!

Don't get me wrong. felt that way, too.:o

But, imagine what our SO's would think reading/knowing this is the way their men feel about dressing up as women!

All I can say is relax. Your wife wants this for you, which is sweet, but she also wants to share the experience with you. Have fun and hopefully this will be the first of many shared excursions to come.

Verona, what happened. Last we heard it?s was 9:40 am and you were waiting for your wife to finish getting ready. It?s been over a week. Did something go wrong? Curious minds want to know. I?m hoping you have been out so much you haven?t had time to respond.

Guess it goes without saying, now I want to know more than ever. I am so sorry for you Verona. Seems the potential was so high. I?m wondering if there is a lesson for any of us.

Omg you are a lucky girl. You better have shaved. It?s been cold in Texas. I thought it was going to be a mild winter but wish I had a a fur coat for my femme look or a pea coat for my cowboy look. I work in oil & gas in Texas. So from October to March I?m mostly cowboy if I?m not dressed up as a girl.

Verona, we're all here for you. Please give us insight into what happened. Everyone here wants to give you a big hug, a shoulder to cry on, and to listen to you.

I can only imagine how bad you are feeling if it did not go well. Many of us have bad experiences when out in public. Now Is the time to pull up your big girl panties and get on with life. Sharing the burden really does help.

Hugs to you.

Unfortunately first outings don't always meet expectations. I usually tell people to give it a few tries before deciding if it's for them. You need to get past the feeling nervous to be out before you can relax and enjoy the moment. Being nervous also impacts how others perceive and interact with you.

I would like to echo Genifers observations. The first few times I went out I was too nervous and vigilant to relax and enjoy the experience. Oddly enough, if you assume you are going to be read (which you mostly will be) then that particular apprehension quickly goes away, and the interactions with others are much easier. I suppose that applies to most situations. It?s better to be yourself.

Of course, you also can expect to encounter an a**hole now and then. That happens no matter how you may be dressed.

Verona so sorry it did not go as you had hoped. Hopefully this will be just a temporary setback.

Verona, it's been a number of days. You're not obligated to post of course, but I think I speak for many in saying we're concerned for you and hope you are doing ok.

It's been a month, and it appears that the OP does not want to talk about the outing, at this time anyway. Closing this thread.
