If your SO has an upcoming trip that will give you a few days alone, do you start planning some things prior to such. Lots of things run through my mind of course. Pedicure for one. Getting things in a place of access is another. I would prefer that I didn?t have to dig through boxes in different places to access a dress or shoes. Lots to think about. How do you do it?

When I was till in the closet I never had a "few days". I'd be lucky to have a few hours to myself, enough to be able to dress and add a little makeup.
Now it's completely different, but if I were in your position I'd be planning well in advance.

Definitely planned in advance. Making sure I had enough food so could stay en femme and not need to go to supermarket, had all my clothes sorted etc

I plan. I think about where I would like to go, what outfits I will need (what I have in my closet as well as what I go shopping for, and where I might go shopping). I there is anything I want to buy online, I check to see if it can be delivered while she is away. I also look around to see if there are any CD / TG / LGBT events I might attend in the area. Then I ask if there is anything she needs me to take care of while she's away.

Oh I am so envious of you and so happy for you too. I would make sure I had some new pantyhose ready. Have places in mind for rain or shine, gas up the car, charge up the camera and make sure the memory chip is ready. Check your makeup to be sure it is fresh, fingernail polish or press on nails (have some additional glue in case one pops off), and shave close that morning. You are going to have so much fun! Please let us know how it went.

In my case I have an incredibly supportive, accepting and encouraging boyfriend and my CD'ing is out in the open for him, so when he is out of town it doesn't change anything for me other than I miss the sex lol! :heehee:

I am terrible advanced planning: I do it, but inevitably something goes awry. 2 years ago I got to Fantasia fair, and found I had forgotten my medication. This year for Diva weekend I put my medication in my makeup bag to be sure I wouldn't forget it. I Got there and discovered I had not packed the makeup bag! :strugglin:surrender
Fortunately, my spouse made me up from her kit.

Thanks Girls, your comments have got me thinking of things I might have missed. I am looking forward to dressing lots during this break for me. Not sure I will be full glam all the time, but I will certainly be wearing things my wife does not want to see me in. In the mornings, I love to wear my leggings or yoga pants and my forms in my bra under a top. Just the yoga pants alone drive her nuts. So I can work like that most of the days and then dress up fully in the evening. I have to be careful. I think the last time I got this chance I worked all day and then felt too tired to put in the effort.
Lots of little things that I need to think of. Yes, I think I need some foundation setting powder or something along those lines yet. I?m undecided whether I might go get a pedicure. I was hoping that we would go together for my first one, but I doubt that will happen. Then if I get a bold color, I would have to remove it in a few days or be very careful upon her return. Might not be worth the expense.
Hopefully I can get some decent photos this time too.

Great topic, when I had 5 days to myself a few years back I quickly took an inventory and ordered items (fake nails, some undies, etc.) for Amazon pick up. The moment I got back from dropping everyone at the airport I kicked it off.
First task was taking a picture of two drawers and removing the items, replacing them with my undies and such. For whatever reason that meant quite a bit for me to have those items ready and waiting, I didn't want to touch the other drawers once during this adventure!
Next was doing my nails (painted toes, glue on fingers) and while waiting for my toes to dry I got the rest of the house ready (wine in the fridge, breakfast muffins, etc.) and used an electric razor to take off as much leg hair as possible. Off to the shower, shaving close and no looking back!
I must say the days I had were awesome and so memorable, make sure to enjoy every moment!

I?m in this situation right now. Next week if things go as planned I?ll have three days. This after 5 months dry spell so yes lots on my mind. Before moving I knew where to go and things to do but new in San Diego not sure. I?m trying to get up the nerve to get a makeover which I?ve never done before at a wig store I found. Thinking I will call to make appt and ask if they don?t mind a cd. Would love to go there dressed in the morning and have the day. Hoping to do some shopping at least at a goodwill store. Would love a pedi - again never had one - but don?t think I?m brave enough. Should be able to find a park where I can feel comfortable going for a walk. It?s a tight neighborhood situation so a little difficult coming and going but think I can manage as I do have a garage. Also would love to go to a museum or a movie but we?ll see how it goes.
It?s been so long it almost feels strange but I?m assuming I?ll get back into the enjoyment once I start. I think It will be really nice just for Jesse to get out of the house.

Jamie, I?m doing an inventory right now. Dug out the few shoes I have and found them lacking. I have one pair of thigh high boots in a W14 that fit ok. But my other shoes are Payless W13 and they are tight. I was desperate at the time to have some and 13 was the tops. They are starting to crack and chip now being of such high quality plastic😀. I see a few on Amazon that will work for me in a W14. I?m ok with spending $25 on some flats, but am more hesitant to spend $50 for some low heeled Mary Jane?s. I would love them, but have guilt spending that kind of monies on my hobby. I guess flats would be good for around the house enfem all day, and then the boots here in the north if I venture out. Got to keep inventorying to see what else I need. These opportunities so rarely come around. Thank God for Amazon lockers.

Jesse, your opportunity is coming up fast. I still have a couple of weeks. I have less qualms about getting a pedicure than a makeover. I can always hid the toes, but if I did get a makeover, there?s no hiding it if a friend or child stop over, and I surely would want to leave it on as long as I could. I?ve never had a pedicure but am seriously thinking about it.
I love to go to Goodwill. The hunt for a deal on a female treasure is exhilarating. But I have never gone enfem so maybe I would go androgynously. We?ll see. Yes it would be good to get out. Maybe under cover of darkness, although I may scare someone to death. Got to up my makeup game. Good luck to you next week. I hope it all goes well for you and you have memories forever. Remember that if there are no photos, it didn?t happen however.

Traci, I've had good luck with JCP, the shoes so at 12w but I've found the sandal and similar shoes will stretch a we wear them. I do are with the money issue but a gurl has to get pretty on occasion! It sounds like you can't have then sent to your house but maybe an order from Glamour boutique could be ups with a pick up?. Are you looking to blend when out? Your goals will help with your choices and then I'm sure you can find the right things. I had a major breakthrough in my dressing about 10 years ago when I had my birthday home and alone, what made it special was trying some causal items, pants and tops, but with a pair of borrowed sandals and once I saw the "casual" me it's been on a different level inside and out. I'm going to pick up a pair of wedges in 12w from JCP that were $10! Keep us in the loop and good luck!

Yes I do. Precision planning is of the upmost importance. I also need the 2 daughters to be away too. May have an opportunity later this month. Sometimes I buy cheap clothes from a charity/ thrift store and dispose of them before they return to minimise risks. I would recommend a pedicure . Its a wonderful experience. You only live once.

That was October 2016.
Probably been out a thousand times since then.

I live alone. But, just throwing on a few things is NOT my thing.
When I'm planning a shoot or an outing I usually begin assembling possible outfits a week or two in advance. Then, after I choose one or two I have plenty of time to select the matching accessories to go with it/them!:battingeyelashes:
What I have a hard time with is these week long T events out of town! Like WildSide this May!
In these cases I start choosing appropriate outfits at least a month in advance. And, I always do a full dress rehearsal with complete outfits I'm going to wear down to the smallest detail to be sure I don't leave something at home!
Which I have done!:thumbsdn:
I mean, what good is a semi trailer of fem clothing items if they're 300 miles away?

Absolutely! I would first gather some cash. Never pay with a credit card. Then I would begin shopping online for the things I was most interested in. As well as shopping online, I would map out locations to make my trip more efficient. Similarly, I would do things such as leave the phone in the car so if I went to the mall, I could say I was in the sporting goods store instead of in Macys womens section eyeing a.new bra

Yes, but Michelle time is very rare these days. Once a year my wife goes on a weekend retreat and I have to maximize that time.

When our daughter lived in the mid-west, my wife would visit her for seven to ten days. I was retired during those years. In advance I would plan which dress and undergarments I would wear. After dropping her off at the airport I would dive into the 20+ Xerox boxes of "stuff" and pull out the dresses I had decided to wear. I maintain a word document with all of the 162 dresses that are accompanied with pictures of any on-line purchases I made. My heels were lined up at the foot of the bed; dresses and full slips hung in the walk-in closet; panties and bras in my armoire. Those trips also enabled me to go for evening strolls. I always looked forward to those annual trips. If I was lucky my wife would also visit her cousin in the southwest in late winter (to avoid summer heat) which gave me two week long events. But, alas, our daughter moved back to our neck of the woods and my wife's cousin has become institutionalized due to dementia. Those days are now a distant memory.

I'm already starting to plan for a potential 3-day opportunity in April, so I totally understand and agree with your approach. Even if the plans fall through, I enjoy the time spent on thinking of outfits and possible places to go.

In a couple of weeks my wife is going with a few friends to Tunisia for a week.
I booked a couple of days holiday from work and made plans weeks ago.
I usually do the grocery shopping at the supermarket and I've always wanted to do it dressed. This is going to be my big opportunity. I'll be driving to a different town where the chances of seeing someone I know are negligible. I don't think I'm recognisable when fully made up, but I don't want to tempt fate.

Jesse, your opportunity is getting close. Have you firmed up any plans yet? I?m wishing you the best when you get your chance.

Holly, good for you getting your chance. A full week sounds great. I don?t think I will visit a supermarket, but I will be very curious how it goes for you. Keep on planning. That can be a part of the fun.

Tina, yes planning and dreaming is a big part of it. I hope your chance in April materializes and your plans come through.

Aside from being able to lounge around in my favorite slips and nighties, it's also a good time to order anything that I have been wanting online. I don't have to worry about intercepting any packages or deliveries.

Just so happens I'll be having a staycation event in the near future and I plan to have a 24/7 experience to include a lot of shopping and maybe dining.
The tough part will be coming down from that high.

Traci - as usual I start to get nervous about following through on things I?m thinking about doing as the time approaches. I wish I could be more confident or at least get some of that don?t care attitude but it doesn?t come easy for me. I will get out to some extent - we?ll see how much - thank you for the good wishes.

Jesse, I feel your concerns. We have two hurdles, society and our wives. We can say the heck with society and tell them to shove it. But the wife part is much more difficult if we wish to keep our marriage intact, etc. Even just doing it without their knowledge is a weight I don?t take lightly. Good luck with whatever works for you.

I wish i had most of my stuff on spreadsheets like Stephanie. As it stands, my stuff is a bit mixed up and i just dug through a box I forgot about with shoes more pantyhose. I believe I have everything I am going to need; except for maybe a makeup item or two. One of the things I could do during these upcoming days would be to organize my items better and maybe cull a few items. I could do that dressed one day wearing whatever tripped my trigger that day. I just double checked my camera setup and if I get a good enough look I will be taking some photos

Well my time finally arrived this week and happy to say after a slow start yesterday, today has been great.
Dressed complete this morning in my best attempt at the casual leggings/tunic top/flats outfit so common with women. Wig, makeup, forms etc? Went back to the wig store wearing the one I bought there a couple months ago and got a warm Hi sweetie welcome back - two of the SA?s helped me trying on items until I found one I wanted. Went to a nail salon a couple stores away and got my first manicure. Shopping and buying at five different stores. Sleepware, sweater, couple tops, makeup, a bra, and valentines gift for my wife. Went for walk in local park. Couple nice normal interactions, and got a couple complements on jewelry. Was out most of the day. Pretty much everything I wanted to do except eat somewhere.
Looking forward to two more days although just got a call to babysit my granddaughter part of the day tomorrow! Oh well that?s ok.
I know this is small potatoes for so many of you but I?m posting for others that like me are hesitant about being out. Such a nice feeling to just be out in the world having a normal day. Had no problems with anyone.

Yes, every Wednesday and Saturday mornings my wife has time with friends so I have everything setup to grab and go. I shave extra close the night before everywhere and put on some silky lotion all over my body so I have nice and smooth skin. I pick out 2 complete outfits that I might want to wear and and when I get up I look outside and then decide which one I am going to wear and put it on and style my wig to put on last. I do my nails with French tips using a Flowery White Nail Pencil, you do the underside of the nail tips with it and it is easier and faster to clean up than nail polish. Than I start applying my makeup and when I think I look good, (I never do that's good enough because good enough is not good.....) I walk around making sure I haven't left and evidence around. Then I go back to the full length mirror and check my outfit and makeup and do any touch up and then finish off with putting on my wig and one last look in the mirror and then I'm out of the house. Now I am off to the mall or shopping somewhere even if I don't buy anything I enjoy the time as Cindy looking and feeling all feminine. I am always looking for other gurls to dress with and go do some girly things with. So far I am going by myself and enjoying any compliments I get while out dress.

Thanks Tracy - yes it was a great few days especially as it had been a long time coming. Barring any changes I’ll have about a week coming up in another two weeks so more planning to do.
Believe your opportunity is coming up soon - good luck with everything and looking forward to hearing all about it.
