Danni posted about her first encounter with the Pink Fog and it got me wondering how it hits you all. Do you get grabbed by a certain item or items that become your focus for a period of time?
I find that I might get stuck on certain items like bras for a while. Then suddenly I?m stuck looking at leggings, and maybe later yet, shoes. Sometimes I might have of a few items that are dancing in my head. Sometimes a thread on this forum can spark an interest in something and off I go. The beauty of all of it is women have so many choices, there is lots to explore, constantly.

Just go into any department store and usually the whole mens section is smaller than the lingerie section.

Not being able to fully dress as often as I need, I seem to get fixated on something that will keep my mind "in the game." Once upon a time I had lots of full days to be en femme because, when I retired, my wife was still working part-time, full days. Stephanie time was spent doing the domestic chores, en femme. Then a series of medical issues arose with my wife's health and those days became fewer which ended up with her retiring. Medical issues that interfere with restful sleep now keep us sleeping apart. For the last several years I have become a buyer of too many nightgowns as I sleep every night in a panty, bra, slip and/or nightie. A nightie is enroute from my latest ebay purchase. That makes 65 nightgowns. Who needs that many? Before nightgowns, it was a quest to assemble a nice collection of vintage slips. That went by the wayside when vintage slips became fewer and fewer on ebay and elsewhere, and affordable. I have become a avid collector of my favorite Vanity Fair panty styles; 15712, 13001 and 13109. Part of "focus" I feel is akin to collecting, like collecting coins.

I've got periods of favorite bra or leggings etc., last time it was pink Victoria's Secret bra, but my strongest pink fog moment was last Summer, when I strolled through a mall en femme, went to H&M and there was style of skirt I was looking for for weeks. I might have resist, but right next to it on a rack was a beautiful white top and I took them, went to a cabin, tried them, bought them both and when I was out of the shop the pink fog cleared and I realized what I just did. I totally shocked and amazed myself.

Marketa, did you buy them? You just described the pink gif so nicely, and we spend a lot of time and effort looking to relive it, once you've had it nothing else will do!

This is so true.
All my life I've had no interest in male clothes over and above the need to cover up and keep warm.
Since I started buying womens clothes in earnest I started asking myself "Why?"
"What makes them different?"
The answer of course is that they're so much prettier but also there's such a bigger range.
If the situation were reversed and I was a woman buying mens clothes then I'd have stopped after a pair of jeans, pair or trousers, a suit, a few shirts, and a packet of boxer shorts!

I found it frustrating to buy guy clothes because I was too small for men's and boy's fit awkwardly.
Now that I figured out I'm size 2 tops and bottoms there is a ton of stuff I can buy!
Over the last couple years I've bought something every two weeks. The most expensive purchase has been a floral silk blouse at $75. One of my GG friends said she would wear it.
I typically have a dozen or two items on my Revolve wishlist.

Absolutely. Over the years, the Fog has bounced me all over. Hose were my first experience and have remained #1, but the PF has moved to everything else. You are so right, there are so many choices and comfort.

Different things may trigger a pink fog in my case. Every time, I see a mature lady in a really high heels in public, for example in a theater or mall, I get aroused. One day, I found a very sexy corset with straps for attaching nylons hanging in the ladies' department of a mall. My pulse jumped very high, I felt hot. I could not relax until I came back and bought it choosing the one with the biggest breast cups available.

It used to be seeing an attractive woman in an outfit I particularly admired.
Nowadays I live and dress in such a androgynous way, over all, that there really isn't a pink fog. I just live in a climate that is always pinkly humid. :daydreaming:
