There was a thread back in Nov 2022 asking this question and I wonder if there had been change in the overall wearing of leggings by men. It seems back in 2022, there were very few men wearing them in the wild. Some at gyms and running, some shorts over them. I was looking at Quora, or was it Reddit, and it seemed lots of guys have now just said screw it and wear them with their goods showing at the gym, noting that women often do the same. Cameltoe or nipples, etc. I have worn mine recently at the gym but am contemplating wearing them elsewhere. Of course basic black versus some pattern or color makes a difference. I recently was in a Trader Joe?s and noted that black leggings were on about half the female customers. All ages and sizes.

I see lots of men wearing leggings. Seems common in the winter.

Char, are you seeing them in those venues you work at or just in the supermarket, etc? I want to believe you are correct, although my wife hates me in them and thus my opportunities to wear are limited anyways. no matter what.

I see a male bodied person wearing leggings, earrings and shoulder length hair in my neighborhood every day: Me.

I see men wearing leggings while running or cycling or going to the gym. They usually have a pair of shorts on over the top.
I've sometimes seen them in the street, but they are generally wearing sporting attire so they might be heading for the gym. As that seems acceptable, I suspect there might be some guys who dress like that because they want to, rather than because they are doing something sporty.

I see men wearing leggings mostly walking our town, running, biking, and at the restaurants. Not usually wear I work which is not quite so casual and seldom are younger men in the supermarkets when I'm there during the day.

Nothing that I ever see outside. Not anywhere.

I’ve not only seen it, I’ve done several times. I wear them pretty much 24/7 and when we’re camping in cooler weather, I just slip a pair of soft jogging shorts over them and go about my business outside. I don’t really care what other campers think, as I’ll probably never see them again.

Nope, I've rarely if ever see men in leggings in my travels or around town.
I wear dance tights to my aerobic and ballet classes but always wear gym shorts over the.
I have one pair that I seldom if ever wear around the house.

I'm getting braver about wearing them out and about. Wear 'em pretty much every day at home. Black leggings seem to be standard issue for cis-women where I live

I have a pair for jogging when the weather is colder, but I do wear shorts over them. They are decidedly feminine with a blue and green peacock pattern to them.
I am getting more comfortable wearing feminine items out in public. I have considered wearing an athletic skort over them instead of shorts. Maybe this is the year.

None around me.
We're a bit rural and I haven't seen a one.

I very rarely see a guy in leggings. They are my go-to casual wear and I don't wear shorts over them, but I do wear long tops. I've never, and would never, go out in leggings with a top that didn't cover my butt.

Well not much of a leap on my part, but I wesr my black leggings to the Y yesterday. I did have on a tee shirt that was a bit long and I wore no shorts over them. I was the only guy in leggings that I could see. Most had baggy pants on. Several women had leggings on however as you would expect. No looks or comments, just your ordinary workout day. I am starting small, but I am happy that I have at least this outlet to wear them.

Every now and then I see a guy in them. However, I wear them all the time. Leggings are very comfortable. I work from home a lot so I wear them daily with a longer top ir sweat shirt. I wear them out to the store. My wife never minds and actually likes them. Torrid is my favorite place to buy them along with Walmart. I even started buying some blouses or tunics that cover the front and back. The comfort of wearing them, I can understand why so many women love wearing them as compared to jeans. Don?t let fear stop you. No one cares but that little voice in your head.

A few people mentioned guys wearing leggings while exercising. I have a cousin who has run hundreds of marathons. If the weather is cold, or even cool, he wears leggings to keep his legs warm. He is well-known in the community of marathoners for often wearing leggings with a cheetah pattern.
Similarly, I remember 30+ years ago, I did a lot of long-distance cycling and wore cycling shorts. For cold weather, though, I had full-length, tight pants to use. This was long before leggings became what they are today.

Billie, I totally get it, but someone I know does care, my wife. She doesn?t want me wearing them, thinking they are women?s only. So much for the feminist movement I say. Only a one way street for some. Ugh! I pick my battles these days.
Colleen, I have worn bike shorts for years with quite a few centuries under my belt. I used to pull on wool legging sleeves in the cold. Now a days I might wear leggings, but I stay away from cold weather riding these days.

My wife is very ok with me wearing leggings out. I love the Shapermint High Waist Leggings. Have a rubber like on thigh highs at the waist band to help hold them in place. I have gone at a few time with know one noticing. Yet I have not seen other men out wearing them. Michigan Indiana areas. I too wear long T-shirts or tunic type blouses with them.

Margret, I hadn?t known about Shapermint High Waisted leggings. Looking at them they look wonderful with that very high waist and the silicone band that helps keep them up. For one thing, I can watch for some at Goodwill. One never knows what might show up. And I am putting them on my possible purchase list now for the future. I see Amazon has them for $35 and with Prime returns and nearby lockers, it works for me. I only wish my wife would not object to me wearing them, even in the house, unlike your wife. I suspect I now know more about leggings than a lot of GG?s. That?s ok with me. Just that if it ever comes up in conversations with women, I?ll have to play dumb.

Let me say first. I rarely present in a manner that the members of this board would consider to be one of the girls. I almost never do a wig, any more and tinted moisturizer to.even out the skin some tone a splash of eyeliner and mascara. that said. I practically live in leggings. Mostly the black Spanx Faux Leather in the winter. Yes they can be pricey when not on sale, but worth every penny IMO. I get the ones lined with a very thin layer of I think it's fleece. In the late spring to early fall it's the unlined in almost every color under the rainbow, if I am not in a skort or shorts. I do tuck in leggings and try to wear longer sweaters, shirts or coats. Do people notice? No idea. Don't run around looking for other peoples approval any more. I wills. I run into people I work with outside of work and nobody says a thing or batts an eye.
All that said. Everybody has their on situation and each has to live in it and can make their own choices. These are the ones I make

In FL I've seen many a man walking or jogging in black leggings with shorts over (I don't like that look, but they didn't ask me). I think I've seen a couple with leggings that weren't totally black, but still with shorts over. When I used to ski there were many a man with skin tight suits on that in hindsight looked like leggings, but I know they weren't.
That being said, the other day I was in NC throwing logs and brush into my trailer when my neighbor surprised me. We talked for a few, she made no comment and didn't seem to notice my teal flowery leggings and matching teal women's t-shirt (and she and her husband are VERY conservative, btw). Then yesterday I made the 9 hour drive, shortly after I left I realized I didn't have any pants or shirt to change into if I got nervous, so I had no choice but to go into the truck stop proudly wearing a black women's t-shirt and dark blue flowery leggings. I thought one guy was staring, so I just sucked in my gut and walked proudly, but then I looked at him from my truck and he was still standing there staring at everybody. No one else, as far as I could tell, noticed or cared.
And no, I make no effort to conceal my bulge any more than women try to conceal the fact they have boobs. (less actually)
One more note. When I wear leggings around my wife (which I do A LOT) she loves it, and grabs me front and back quite often, to the point that I made the comment to her that men who don't wear leggings must be gay.

You guys are making me jealous. Your ability to wear your different kinds of leggings.
Here are my thoughts on this. I love dressing every morning as I make a selection from my drawer full of panties. What trips my trigger that day? What do I feel like wearing? It?s just a joy for me to experience that.
Then I throw on my blue jeans and cover it all up. Sure they are women?s and they might have a little squiggle pattern on the pocket, but they pretty much look the same.
Now if I could open a drawer and have to make a selection from a multitude of colorful or different textured leggings, what joy that would bring me. I have to think about how I can get my wife to loosen up a little. Maybe not possible and again have to pick my battles.
I have more years behind me than in front, and am wanting to try things before it?s too late. I appreciate everyone?s feedback about your situations d what you see in the wild. Maybe my wearing of leggings here would encourage a few here to start. It has to start with somebody, right?

I started wearing black leggings about 9 months ago, but only around the house and over to a friends house and she knows I cross dress and I frequently dress at her house. I now wear them basically all the time and only one person has questioned me about them. A lady asked if I was wearing lady's leggings and I said yes. She then wanted to know why and I replied because I can and I love the way they feel and they are damn comfortable.

When I go to the gym, Planet Fitness, I see a few guys with shorts over them and some without. I want to wear some there one of the next times that I go to see I anyone compliments me on how they look on me. We all look to get compliment no matter who, male or female says it and the expression on their face and their body language. Planet Fitness is know of being friendly to those of us that enjoy our clothes.

Do not be disappointed if you aren’t complimented. I see guys in leggings most of the time at Snap Fitness. It’s very common.

I have a few pairs of leggings. I wear them out often such as the gym and grocery store. I tend not to wear them if I'll be out for a while though.
