I had a little of a rough week at work, winter has been long and cold and Mother Nature is showing no signs of letting off on the cold and it's starting to take its toll on my older body. Friday I came home from work exhausted and literally took a shower and went to bed. Yesterday I was doing my regular Saturday morning chores and my wife went out to do her Saturday errands. When she came home I was sitting on the couch and she looked at my feet and told me she couldn't remember the last time she seen my bare feet. She asked me why I wasn't wearing pantyhose and a matter of fact why wasn't I dressed at all and then asked "Are you feeling OK". It really amazes me how well our wifes know us. I must be tired I haven't worn anything fem all weekend but I do want to but just the thought of the clean up is discouraging me. I know I'll be back into soon but never really had this happen before must be the long winter depression kicking in. Anyone ever have these feelings.

Maria, I can totally relate. A couple of times I?ve had the opportunity to dress when my wife was gone. I took that time during the day to do all kinds of projects thinking I would dress in the evening. Well, when the evening came, despite lots of motivation, I was just too pooped.
So like a GG, I would throw on some yoga pants or leggings and a comfy top and just enjoy the evening. No makeup, heels or jewelry. Heck if a GG can do that, I can too.

Of course! When I graduated from just "throwing on a few fem things" after coming home to, "all or nothing" decades ago!:battingeyelashes:

I totally had times like that.
Where I was just too exhausted to bother getting dressed.
Just come home from work, get a shower and into my pajamas'
There has been other times when I didn't feel well that Raychel has taken the back seat as well.
But there has been other times, When I had covid, that Raychel totally took over.
Hard to explain the ebbs and flows.

Maria, when I am particularly tired, my desire to dress will lessen.

Sometimes really tired and "just don't feel like the hassle of dressing" but with a little encouragement put on either leggings, a bra and warm top or bra, warm sweater dress and if really cold add leggings. No makeup, wig, or other stuff. Simple and amazing how that helps. Just a thought for next time

HI. Last month I had a few weeks of not dressing. Tired and didn't want to put in the effort. I too thought it was weird. Thank goodness I am feeling better and fully dressed as I write this. Very nice of your wife to notice. This to shall pass...

Just look at it as the need to cross dress has given you the evening off.:)

Winter depression? I am sorry to say, that no.
Living in the South West US I do not experience winter as you know it.
I had not worn anything other than panties and a bra for the last few weeks. Not sure if it was the weather, (Wisconsin), or body aches. Came home last night and fully dressed. It felt really nice to be in a skirt and blouse with hose. There were times in the past, before my wife passed away, she would look at me and comment, "I am surprised that you aren't wearing something softer". That was her slang for stockings and a nightgown (our agreed limits). I think everyone goes through times where the effort seems too much. Experience has shown us, the Pink Fog isn't going away. Winter Depression? Seasonal Affective Disorder is real, I am sure that has something to do with it. We have more Sun in our lives now and our brains will start to pick up on that.
