Greetings Gorgeous Gals!

My Houston Honey Terri Johnson and I were Ubering back to Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas after getting glam makeovers at the Town Square Mall 4 miles down the Strip.

I was in front chatting with the driver, having a jolly time. Suddenly his GPS announced "customer Fred is 3 minutes from his destination". "Ouch, clocked by GPS" I announced. It was all light hearted, and I came away with a fun story.

I actually go to my account and change my name and gender before I do girl trips! It is easy and works well, and then the driver has a better idea who to look for.
You can even add a picture if you want, but I haven't done that yet.
Other times, I have messaged the driver as they were on the way, saying "Look for tall blonde woman with suitcase!" LOL

This is good information to know. Genifer will need her own account. I still haven't gotten over the gps enabling situation. Don't know if I'll ever get there. But at least I know about this, not so much for the outing, just for the inconvenience and confusion it could cause.

Yes, as mentioned, in the Uber app on your phone, you can go to [account] [personal info] and change your name and pronouns anytime. That is the info the driver will use when you are picked up.
It does not matter that it does not match your credit card.

In large cities, the drivers have probably seen everything. The last Uber ride I took in Vegas, when I hopped in the female driver confirmed who I was using my (male) name on my account. She asked me what I would like to be called, and I said tonight I'm Joyce Ann. Interestingly the conversation turned to a show she liked, Stranger Things. She gave me a nice compliment on my dress. Sometimes it's a good experience. Thanks Suzie, I will look in to changing the name and pronouns as I did not know that could be done.
