This is not a thread about those who don't know finding out, This is about your estate.
Have you made any plans to gift any of your estate to any LGTQ+ organizations? For those of you who are less than out, perhaps an innocent sounding one.
Why ask such a question?! I am in the process of modifying my estate planning and have decided to make some changes to it. I already have listed in it a couple of organizations, Gender Justice league and Lambert house. I'm adding The Trevor project to this list.
Anybody else want to chime in?

Your local American Legion. They are there to help familes and the community. They give away scholarships, work with the local high schools and other civic groups to ensure our children grow up
to a safe community and good citizens

Nope.
My wife and I are in agreement. We want to spend EVERY DIME before we go and leave just enough for an awesome party.

I disagree with a lot of the extremist views within LGBTQ circles and cannot support some of the frankly ridiculous things that people are hijacking the movement with to feel special, so no, I wouldn't leave my money to help causes that don't necessarily align with my view.
I intend to leave everything to my partner and daughter, and if I were to outlive them (which I hope I don't obviously) I would leave it to my nephew and niece or animal shelters.

Perhaps it would be nice to give something to help keep this site operational as it's given so many of us so much support over the years.

I haven't, but I also don't have much of an estate in the first place. And I'd want at least some to go to my church, since they've helped out both me & my mother a lot over the years
My daughter will get everthing, my house and my holiday home in the lake district. All paid for for her to do whatever she wants to do with it, as I wont be around to be bothered about it.

No, my family will inherit everything.
They have done more for me than any organization.

I like Helen's idea of helping out this site. It's true; this site has done an enormous amount to help all of us, including the thousands who have come by and never registered for an account.
Recently, another site that I followed for years just up and vanished without a trace, and no word at all as to why. That site too, for the community it served, was incredibly helpful. Now, it's just gone. I can't imagine this site being gone.

Eh, I do not expect to leave a significant amount behind. Whatever is left will be the responsibility of my kids and grandkids to sort out.

I currently donate regularly to A4TE. But I doubt I will have anything left after the immanent, inevitable recession.

Over the years I have spent a lot of time reading people’s comments on this site. I have learned I’m not alone in that MY JOURNEY through life has a major difference from all the people close to me.
I have often wondered how this site is funded and I’m appreciative of the people who keep it running.
I would like to know how to contribute to keeping this site operating.
If someone would post or PM me (I think I know how to use a PM) I would appreciate it. I feel confident there are no limits on donations large or small.

Everything would go to my wife and daughters.

Thank you all for answering. It is really interesting to hear your responses. Lest you think I'm some sort of Cruella. The majority of my estate goes to my son, assuming he's alive. At this time I have no Grandchildren so that's not an option. Maybe one day or not. I hope there are more responses to come.

My will leaves everything to my wife if I predecease her, and if if I don't, everything goes to my youngest step-daughter.

What CharlotteCD said.
My estate goes to my wife if still alive and my kids otherwise. I'm sure my clothes that don't get tossed or claimed will be donated to a local worthy cause that has nothing to do with LGTBQ.
