View Full Version : Attention to detail

This has nothing to do with why I dress, more to do with the things we derive satisfaction from as a consequence.

Getting dressed in the morning it's underwear, knickers and bra, on first. That is sometimes followed by a pair of padded shorts to give shaping to my hips. Next it's often a cami and then hose. Skirt and top, sometimes a cardi rounds out the outfit.

And this is where the attention to detail fits in. The padded shorts need to be pulled up to sit correctly on the crotch. The cami has to be smoothed down so when the hose goes over the top there's as little seam line showing as possible. Also ensuring the hose is pulled up to the correct waist level so the top sits under the skirt waistband. The skirt has to have any seams in the right places, front, back, along the hips. Ditto the top. Symmetrical with arm seams running straight from under the armpits.

Male me throws on clothes. Most men if required to work in a suit and tie will only give consideration to the tie being straight. jacket, trousers are just put on without any real thought.

And should femme me need to visit the ladies, once done the same consideration to putting everything back in it's place is given again. No unsightly lumps showing under a skirt because a cami hasn't been properly smoothed down of hose not properly pulled up.

And I like this attention to detail. There's a degree of satisfaction in knowing everything is in it's place and looking good. It's just another thing GG's do that remains hidden from most men but is exposed to us.

Being a woman is hard work but very satisfying. I love it.

I know the feeling when dressed everything needs to be just right I actually enjoy the extra work it takes to present as Jill.

Doing it once in a while can be fun (it is, as far as I am concerned).
Doing it everyday... that seems more like a drag.
And, being a woman, I suppose that means waking up as one everyday.
So, being a woman dressed as a crossdresser... that seems like a drag.
Not surprised that many ditch the hose (to our greatest disbelief!).

Helen, I couldn?t agree with you more. I?m exactly the same way. My wife occasionally teases me of how meticulous to detail I am to detail. It?s just part of my personality to which I really enjoy. I also enjoy the various adjustments required like garter belts, bras, etc. As you know, rarely are two bras alike. I enjoy making bra strap and back adjustments. I?ve recently become enamored with front clasp bras. During the day, I often stop to make adjustments, hose, slips, scooping, etc. Even though there?s little change, I enjoy it.

I noticed how women generally are more detailed when it comes to stuff like this. They tend to not just make snap purchases and really look into things. Especially when it comes to choosing the right outfit. Obviously everyone is an individual but there are a lot of women like this.

Absolutely agree Helen. The slightest mistake can be a dead giveaway. Using the ladies is a time for great care when putting your clothes back properly.

Don't I know it. I had just used the ladies in a M&S and as I went out onto the shop floor I heard a "You-hoo, excuse me". Turning around a kind lady told me that I'd got my skirt tucked into the back of my knickers! So grateful to her for her kindness.

I’m also a member of the every detail has to be perfect club. We have even more details to remember than real women. Is everything tucked away snugly? Is each boob or hip pad in exactly the same location? Is my waist cincher visible under a tight dress? And don’t get me started on how much time I spend with beard cover, getting fake lashes straight, fake nails glued on and creating some cleavage.

But do I enjoy every single moment of it? You betcha!
