So, I pulled into Vegas after the 4 hour drive from SoCal for WildSide. A week long T extravaganza there. I had been selecting outfits for the individual outings for 3 weeks. Putting together every detail and accessory of each outfit down to jewelry. In my case that means many different figures, wigs, and masks!

As I went to unload my heavy bags for the bellman to bring to my room I realized I had left a suit bag at home. The one with every single outfit except my wedding gown in it!

After I checked in to the hotel and WildSide I wondered if I could go to the opening event that nite in drab? Then, I ran into a familiar T I've known for years and told her my tale of woe. She said, "Go to Ross. It's just a few blocks down the strip." I LOVE Emmy!

Well, I had a few hours before our gathering so, I shuffled the 1/2 mile or so there on my bad knee and sure enuff, I found a cowgirl style dress. Since I had my full compliment of shoes, wigs, shaping gear, and accessories it was easy to match the dress. My first evening there at Ole Red's country saloon was a success. I even got a few compliments on my $10 Ross dress! :bs:
My daughter shipped my suit bag. So, I had all my outfits the next day!:)
At a ridiculous cost. More than I spent for all out fits in it! But, priceless to me at that moment!:battingeyelashes:

PS: Next week I'll post a complete accounting of Sherry's good times In Vegas partying with about 200 T girls. Some I've known for years and many brand new friends!:hugs:

I’ve bought a few dresses from the Las Vegas Ross across from the MGM Park hotel.

Might have been cheaper for Sherry to make the 8 hours round trip to retrieve the suit bag? Or, priceless to not even miss one day of Wildside?

Sherry, I have made it to my hotel and had to run out to buy something I forgot. However, it has never been all my dresses. I'm glad your daughter came through.

I don’t know where you find the energy. I worked for a few hours in my yard and I am ready to call it a night.

That's the one, Cynthia!

Hey! I've got lots of energy for an 82 y/o. But, my days of driving for 12 hours straight r over, Lydia!
The extra gas would have been about $125.

I'm lucky to have her, Jamie. And, she's the one who's real iffy about my dressing.

I amaze myself sometimes, Kim. I don't know why I still have that kind of energy? But, that's why I'm doing all this while I still am able to!:heehee:

How is vegas doing in general? Some reports suggest tourism is down. I would imagine our event is going strong.

The WildSide admin were worried, Gen! A few weeks before the event only about 100 were registered. Then, suddenly nearly 100 more registered before Monday!

I was asking more about everyone else in vegas.I heard that tourism is down. Glad you only needed to buy one dress to get through the first day.
