I've just spent another few grand on my ESCAPE items. New Kayak being made, have my new swimmers on order as well.

I'm quite happy as I go into my own world, just a Gurl frocked up in a kayak in the ocean.

Probably could be taken as messed up, but NO!

I can fight against the world or PINK UP and go for a paddle or ride.

Ive got an old canoe, 10 ft resin built for heavy water, , but thats fine, I use it on the river estuary in lancaster and on the uk canals, it rachets on my roof rack, but hey ho, nothing to do with my dressing, just enloy a good paddle beteeen pubs on the canal, my wife picks me up at the other end of 3 miles, lol

Stacy, Good for you, stay safe.
Debs, Now that sounds like a great ride on the canal.

Oh! Tried to send a pick but failed, 6 times.

I'm in Windang NSW Aus. Paddle the lake and outer islands weather permitting. Thats why I need new swimmers all the time. a lot of wear and tear. But free out there.

Back in my youth I used to jump into my rowing skiff moored outside my back door here in SoCal and row around Lido Isle nearly every morning in Winter.:daydreaming:

Then, in Summer I switched to a kayak. I always returned with a bag full of floating trash I picked up on my paddles!

I was in great shape back then!:)

I am surprised to hear that you feel safe paddling anywhere in NSW Australia. My perception is that pretty much everything in Australia will kill you!

My escape is an isolated little cabin on a lake in Minnesota. Other than the occasional black bear, there are very few things in the woods that might eat you!
