In a couple of weeks I am taking my son to Oxford for university open days.
We are staying overnight so that he can attend 2 days. He has been given free overnight accommodation including meals, but they don't provide this for accompanying parents.
So I am booked into a hotel for the night. I don't often get a lot of time on my own without fear of being interrupted, but a night in a hotel is a godsend.
I have for a long time wanted to practice and experiment with makeup because it's the one thing that sometimes lets me down. This is going to be a perfect opportunity.

Sounds like an excellent opportunity for practice.

Hope your going to go all the way and go out for a little stroll outside around the hotel, believe me you'll kick yourself in the future if you dont.

In the past when traveling for work I was able to bring a few things to dress, but never did makeup. Now if I got that chance, I think an evening of total makeup practice would be fantastic and well worth the time. Like you say Holly, virtually zero chance of interruption. I?ll have to keep that in mind should that opportunity arise as well.

Good luck. Pack your makeup gear and mirror and enjoy!

That's great, Holly. Have fun. It's always happy feeling when everything comes together at the end and you're looking at yourself in the mirror.

Practicing for what, Holly? If you're not going out on this opportunity, then when?

You might want to bring your own lighting. You never know what you?re going to get. Have fun and good luck!

I go out quite often, but sometimes I feel that my makeup lets me down. So the whole point of this exercise is to practice so that I can get it right more often, and more quickly.
