This journey to women hood has been A road with some potholes. Most people accept me. The few that don't try to tell me God doesn't make mistakes. I tell them I'm here, so God can see how you treat people different from you.

I golf with my guy friends in fact they have me setup the golfing and they call me Glenda. And I can out drive some of them.

Wanted to change my name to Glenda but the paperwork fingerprints, back round, going to court, plus they won't let me change my gender on my passport. So, for legal reasons I'm keeping my old name.

I work parttime I don't wear any makeup other than mascara and lipstick and they still call me madam.

I'll be going to have bottom surgery next month to make my life complete. A little scared if I'm doing the right thing for me at 77.

I have no male cloths in the house. Just bought some more golf outfits.

All in all, I'm happy with my life.

I try to come back and post sometime in the future

77 is quite old for selective surgery. Heck they won't even do colonospy at that age here because of risks. Ask hard questions: peers had results, negative results, how well do drugs work at age, etc. Interview at least 3 in age group that have done it. And then hold your breath and confirm decision.

I have a T friend who had implants and a lot of facial surgeries done recently. She's healed and in her 70's and is very happy with her new self every time I see her:)!

I'm with Donna, Glenda. Take time to think things over and do the research. Ask yourself, is it really, absolutely, necessary to put my life at risk at this late stage of my life? All the best, Gale.

So glad to hear that you are happy with your life and the changes you are making.

Good luck with the surgery and recovery! Report back often!

Hi Glenda.
I did all the surgery at the age of 69. (kind of poetic).
If you are fit and well that helps.
Consider what you would lose if things go poorly. How many of your loved ones would be affected if you passed away because of this? Valid questions.
What does your mind tell you? What does your heart want?

For me there were not such considerations.
Transexuals feel the weight of gender dysphoria everyday. It eats away at you.
I now know that I when I eventually pass I can look back without regret.
I took the chance and enjoyed my newly released identity.
