I'm curious if anyone has ever tried a dating site as their female self. I have used them plenty of times as my male self, but never the other way around. But I thought it would be an interesting experiment to try the dating world through a woman's eyes, as well as the other side of the closet. Now, let's be clear. I am not into guys by any means. Maybe in the fantasy world from time to time, but definitely not in the real world. But I thought it would be interesting to get some guys' opinions of me. Here's how it has been going.
About a week ago, I signed up on a site that I have used in the past as my male self. I filled in all the required info. I wrote everything in the profile through the eyes of my male self when it comes to likes and hobbies and such. So everything in there is 100% true. Now, when it comes to gender, there is an option to pick for Trans, but being that this was an experiment, I chose a woman.
For pictures, I uploaded a couple that I really like. One is my profile picture here, and the other 1 is another picture that I really like of my female self. Both of them are just headshots with nothing showing from about the shoulders down.
It has been an interesting experiment to say the least. From the moment I joined, I have had plenty of guys check out my profile and many have liked it also. I have even received a handful of messages. And one guy already attempted to ask me out on a date. It,s been approximately a week, and I have already seen more action on the site than I ever have combined as my male self lol. My experiment will end at some point. And it will definitely not progress past the point of the site. But in the meantime, I am keeping on. and I will continue to have some fun with it while it lasts.

There have been previous posts about doing exactly the same thing which drew fairly sharp criticism. I am not being judgemental myself, but picture what the person looking for a female companion would think if you slipped up and let your experiment go too far. It could end up quite hurtful as soon as they find out you were not honest about your sex.

Enough said about that. If you want to know what people think, do as I have done in the past. Dress up and go to a bar or club. You will get more than enough interaction with others to know what they think. Just be honest about who you are.

The experiment is over. I got the information I wanted for about a week, and have since deleted the account. It was an eye opener for sure.

Studies have shown in the past that even an average looking woman, will get lots of matches compared to an average man. Men are often stereo typed as being shallow and only going for looks, but, women do tend to be much more shallow on dating sites, have much higher standards, almost impossible in some cases, looking for tall, rich, successful men with model looks whereas guys are much more forgiving and will give average looking girls a chance, probably as a consequence of being turned down for not reaching the impossible high standards most women now have.

Teenagers and 20's marry for "love". Of course, they're usually clueless. Love and lust r hard to tell apart at that age!

After their first marriage and/or in their 30's+ both men and women tend to settle for the "best partner they can get"!

I bet you could put up a photo of your forms and get hits.

Lori, I have done the same thing that you did but I did put in the headline that I was trans. The guys didn't even read the headline, they went straight to the pictures and started messaging. When I would message them back and tell them "you know I am a trans woman, right??" the majority would say where does it say that then they would delete the messages and block me, like I was the one reaching out to them. Dating sites can be extremely entertaining...

A female friend and I once both put ourselves into a dating website. This was nearly 30 years ago, for clarification. We helped each other with our profiles, what would YOU like to see? We were both good looking fairly successful people.

The results, she got about 400 responses in the first few days, I got 3. Not 300, but 3.

That's all I have on the subject, sorry it's not CD related.

I have a profile up, and it?s as clear as I can make it that I?m a CD, especially since the newer settings allow stuff like unconventional genders.

I have a male profile and a cd profile, the cd profile maxed out on 99+ likes within 2 days, my make profile has had maybe 5 likes total?

Not a dating site but there to meet others.

My pictures that I have posted on here are the same ones I use on Stitch.
Last week I was contacted by a guy on that site just for a chat.
Well that was how it started.

He would have preferred to speak on the phone but I was happier to just text.
I will admit to being intrigued. Then I looked at his profile.
Divorced and looking for a romantic relationship.
Whilst not playing a game I did continue to chat. initially I did point out that our ages were so far apart.
My age is not on my profile nor is my being trans. He persisted about knowing my age.
A gentleman should never asks a lady her age.

So I did tell him that he was too young for me at 59 to my 72. That did not seem to phase him. I think all he saw was a pretty face from my bio.
Not my words. That came from another GG that I know.

I am not interested in men but I was happy to chat. It soon became apparent when he was somewhat aggressive with his words to me and the pressure he attempted to exert for more knowledge.
When I began asking questions of him he began to shut down with curt answers.
I ended the chat and went to bed.

Interactions with men on dating sites where I have said I am trans have not been very respectful.
Hmm, I wonder why that is? lol

While I know people who met on dating sites and now seem to have good marriages, I've never been on one and wouldn't trust meeting someone I met on one. I am much too cautious to go that route.
