The extra touch when crossdressing

Dear all

When I crossdress I have this extra thing I like to do. I do not know what I should call it, but it gives me a feeling of being a woman on another level. The thing is that I prefer to create an atmosphere of being a single woman with great pleasure of my own company. When I dress up in nice clothes I also love jewellery, hairbands, tiaras, purses and shawls and, well you get it. I have a girly hobby doing nails. Mostly glue ons, but I sometimes do nails for my wife and a couple of friends. But when I am home alone I sometimes make an evening of it. I cook a meal, buy some sushi and even a plate of cookies or cupcakes. I drink coffee from a nice little porcelain set I have. I even listen to different music than in my man mode. I drink champagne or wine in tall glasses. I like to do some embroidery or drawing. So basically it is not just about the clothes and the female appearance, visually. It is a great way of being someone else, that cute lady that enjoys her own company.
How about you lovely ladies? What do you do on that evening of dressing up gives you that extra touch of this part of your life?

Hi Pernille, when I am transformed from head to toe into a woman the magic wonderful begins. When I am looking at myself in the mirror I feel myself accomplished as being a woman I like and I feel comfortable to be. The more female attributes I have the deeper is the feeling. They all keep me on the female side firmly and the escape is not easy and to be honest not much desired.

Living alone, I mostly dress and do as I wish. That usually means dressing to blend in. But on rare occasions I will choose a bit nicer outfit and maybe spend a bit of extra time on my makeup. A glance in the mirror will tell me if I have been successful.

I've had two wedding dresses that were just for fun and obviously not for going out. I'm sure I've had a few days/evenings when I tried on clothes to cull or choose what to take on a trip, I've never been one to dress to stay in. There have been a number of times I've spent hours getting ready, but the end was always going out, even if I spent less time out than I did getting ready. I live alone now and I kind of wish I did enjoy dressing to stay in, but it's just not my thing

Hi, and thanks for the replies. I am so glad to hear that you're happy with the way you can express yourself when dressing up. I love to dress up and be with friends. At the same time I found out that I was really a bit more introverted than I thought. I have always been a person that enjoys being with friends and family. So spending time with myself is just a way of giving myself energy. I also do a lot of things that is a combination of joy and embarrassing. Sometimes when I dress up, the little boy playing dress up in mummy's clothes is back. I am a descent singer, and once I dreamt of being a rockstar. So from time to time I dress up and do dancing and singing on my own. I put on music, rigging my projector with stage lights from YouTube. I just sing, dance and feel like a queen on stage. I play live recordings of great music I love. I swap costumes, sings along and just feel free as a bird in the sky. I have a mirror wall in the hallway and that's where the magic happens. I see myself in the stage light as a beautiful woman performing. Yes I know, a grown man in his fifties acting like a 5 year old girl is weird. But that little girl inside me just has to get out from time to time. I wish I could post a video of it, but since I don't post it on YouTube I can't.

I am child of the 1950's and 1960's who was exposed at that time to "dresses only" mind set for women's wear. When I have a full time of femme time to myself it is always a pretty dress, heels and hosiery and all the proper undergarments. I usually spend the day accomplishing the domestic chores required of a household. I NEVER, EVER saw a television show with June Cleaver or Harriet Nelson, not wearing a dress.

When I dress for several hours in a row I like to do stuff dressed, like fumbling on my computer, sorting papers, sewing/fixing my CD wardrobe, whatever, and if have the house to myself (very rare), I will cook, watch TV, do various things I’d do in male mode, but with a dress and pantyhose, which makes it a different, more emotional and sensual experience.

Part of my domestic routine normally allows me time to dress once the SO has gone to bed. Dress, forms, jewellery wig and shoes. Time to watch a bit of TV, a few puzzles on the tablet, tidy the kitchen and lock up before going up to bed.

I write a few lines in my diary and then begin to get ready for bed by taking off my jewellery. It's a ritual, one that so many women perform regularly and I find it connects me to their lives albeit in some small way.

My wife says I clomp and stomp around when in drab, but I glide when in a dress, so I guess it's just become a habit. I know I have worked at it, over the years.
