It was a warm summer day. I was off to the sailboat for a full day cruise. Alone. After getting away from the docks and the majority of the other boats around, I decided it was now time to adorn my Lacey strappy blue top. This sexy piece is beautiful with multiple straps in a V arrangement.

Now 2 hours later, in the hot sun, I?m wishing for tan lines. How amazing will it look to have tan lines on my back and shoulders.

It?s official. I?ve burnt a bit and the V tan lines are present. I admit that the lines are appealing and very much constant. And it?s a very very difficult thing to hide from family while coming out of the shower. Or hiding when we go to a beach this summer in the future.

I even had to make a compelling story during my physio appointment two days ago, completely obvious and impossible to hide.

But a fun and great day. With Tan lines memories.

Love it - in recent years I have tanned in the sun wearing nothing but a thong bikini bottom making for fun tan lines on my backside - I have yet to have the guts to tan with the bikini top though :)

I find tan lines to be rather sexy. I tan full nude, so no tan lines for me. There is no way I could have friends and family see me with thong bikini tan lines.

Perfect.
I love wearing one of my tankinis or my bikini while we enjoy the lake. The tan lines remind me how it felt as they fade to winter.

For me, the challenge is to avoid unsightly tan lines. I think it looks better not because i'm hiding anything. Who wants different lines overlapping?Every time you wear a different outfit or a bathing suit, or whatever?

I'm proud of the perfect record.I have this summer. Usually only one tan line down below.I try to limit it to that. That's hotter, in my opinion than any tan line would be.

My personal issue with tan lines is the traditional "farmer's tan" from wearing tee shirts all summer and then putting on a sleeveless dress. My daughter pointed out once that I had tan lines on my legs because I wear sweat socks and cut above the shorts which has a tanned area between two white areas of the legs. That necessitates wearing hosiery. I wouldn't want to try avoiding situations if I had tanned (for me, actually burn) wearing a bikini top or bra.

We have a pool and I was wearing a bikini last weekend and I got yelled at the Dermatologist for allowing myself to get a sunburn.

Years ago, when I was in my late teens, I was working outside where I knew no one would see me, decided to try on a bikini, I ended up getting badly sunburnt, with obvious "tanlines", spent that night in agony, but, couldn't say a word to anyone, couldn't take my top off for the rest of the summer in case anyone saw my tanlines. Took ages for them to go, while it was initially thrilling to have tanlines, it wasn't worth it and definitely learnt my lesson! Despite all that I do like how tanlines look when properly done!

Sunscreen is your friend.

Back when I tanned I'd go nude face down and thong face up, to protect a certain area from a sunburn (that didn't sound fun). I told friends straight out that that's what I did, so if anyone ever saw the thong lines on the front (unlikely) there were no surprises. There were a few times I got lines from a cami or bra, but I spent enough time in the sun they didn't last long and no one but my wife ever saw them.

For years people told me I'd regret all that sun some day. Now I do, sort of, but oh well I loved it at the time and it was worth it!

I used to really love getting a tan in a skimpy thong. That got me in a lot of trouble with my wife especially when she came home and found me in the pool that way. Nobody else was around so I did not see it as a big deal.

Of course it?s not good for your skin, especially if you get burned so if you are going to tan it is a good idea to strictly limit the time to what you can tolerate with no redness to speak of after the fact. Tanning in short but frequent intervals makes the tan last a lot longer as well.

Last summer I went out on my back deck in short trunks and put sunscreen on my boobs in 20 min intervals and it still has not completely faded from last summer. When I went to see my dermatologist , he says , you know you are coming to a dermatologist right. I think he was not pleased I spent time in the sun. He always says, fry now, pay later. He is probably right but I always liked having a nice tan. If you do get tan in fem clothing, taking it off is not an option ; )

Yeah, tan looks nice but stay safe with lots of sunscreen and avoid the hot hours. Skin cancer isn't that sexy.

Some of us r easily pleased! :)
However, sunburns r unwise for a number of reasons!:thumbsdn:

I grew up in a beach town before sunscreen was invented. So, needless to say, my redhead skin was destroyed by age 19!
Needless to say, the sun is my worst enemy now!

However, with my silicone suits I can stay out under a blazing sun all day with no harm to my skin!:tongueout

I bought half a dozen long sleeved sunshirts with collars for golfing. The ones from EPNY have venting on part of the arm normally hidden from the sun.

I would love to wear a bikini and get tan lines but I can't as I occasionally get in my son's spa when my wife and I visit him.

Toward the end of summer awhile ago, I wore the same bra shirtless for a couple of days while doing yardwork and had this wonderful reminder for months.
Fully aware of the danger of too much sun, especially as we age, I gave up the sunbathing long ago but, maybe this year there can be a repeat with matching panty tan lines.

Having bikini tan lines is high on my bucket list if and when my lovely wife is accepting of my hobby I hope to cross this off my list.

Oh shoot, why didn't I think of this?! Now it's on my bucket list.

I wear trousers at work and either t-shirts or short sleeve shirts when is warm weather, so I would have no problem hiding it. But unfortunately the weather forecast doesn't look like it could give me much of a tan. The best would be a sunny weekend for me, because I tan relatively easily and I've got apartment heading south, so I would just open a window, lay on the floor and watch YouTube, listen to music and read a magazine.

I hope the summer is not over yet.

I have tan lines on the insides of my shoulder's from wearing a sleeveless golf polo out in the hot sun without enough sunscreen. It is obvious when I wear tops with spaghetti straps.
