Small tiny step

My wife and I are taking a trip and we were looking at shorts to order. She asked me what size to get and I told her I would like the size 16 pair. She didn?t bat an eye, placed it in the cart and made the order. Now, these shorts are only feminine in that the zipper pull is ? on the other side?., but that makes me feel good.


She is not real accepting, but this is way more than anything in the past.

I've been wearing womens shorts for many years, I have denim shorts with a 9" inseam. They have elasticated waist with a flat front waistband and no zipper. My other femme shorts with the 4" and 1" inseam, I reserve for wearing at home.

Exactly !! Honey-do's are the best. I'd recommend discussing exactly how she wants it and then make it happen. My wife is a gardener and on more than one occasion she has mentioned how "romantic" it is when we work together out n the yard.

I, too often wear women?s shorts. I find them so comfortable. Sounds like the door is open. Good for you. I agree, go slow, be nice, and be appreciative. It will pay dividends.

That is more than a small step. It is a big deal. If she is not really a fan just think about how important it is to her for you to be happy. That was a big step for her.

However, true to form, when the package came it had mens shorts. She just found something similar to what I wanted and called it close enough. Insert frowny face here!

Argh, how disappointing. A bit of a setback for sure. Despite your indication using a woman?s size, she was not going there. Sounds like something my wife would do. Do you say something now or is just asking for trouble?

Women seem to have troubles getting over that hurdle. When I first announced I wanted some colorful socks, my very accepting wife went with me into the ladies section and I got some. Then she got online and bought me a package of colorful men's socks and thought I'd be just as happy. Hey, she tried. (I probably would have been happy but they didn't fit as well as the supposedly smaller women's socks!)

Yeah my wife once suggested trying to find men's clothes that had some similar qualities to women's. I said no way; I needed to know I was wearing clothes intended for women.
