Yesterday I had a great girls' morning out with my gg pal K. We met around 9 for a walk in a local park, then went to a nice, upscale breakfast place. I got "ma'am"ed more than once at the restaurant. Then we went to my favorite thrift store (charity shop), and I found a puffer jacket, which I've been wanting. We were ready to go, and I was just walking past their fancier shoe area, and saw a pair of heels in a black/brown pattern. I don't wear heels out, except some kitten heels when i'm really dressing up. I wanted them anyways, and realized I had a skirt that they would match beautifully. Long story sort, I dropped K off at her house, and when I got home, I put on some black tights, the skirt I had in mind, a top, etc, and the shoes. I took a few pictures and sent them to my friend, and she said "Oh, those shoes are perfect with that dress!". That put a big smile on my face, believe me. I had to reply with the title of this post. NOTE: the skirt & top did look like a dress in the pictures.

I agree, the shoes really match well with the skirt. Glad for you that you have such a nice friend.

Wow Joanie, it's as if those shoes were made for that skirt. Great find and good taste. Hope you can get out in that outfit and post a pic or two. Those shoes are meant to be seen in public on a good looking woman who is strutting her stuff.
Those heels look about 2 inch. Am I right?

Cool about the shoes, Joanie! But, I'm confused about which words were life changing?:)

@Rhonda Darling: Just over 3", so taller than I have ever worn outside the house. I will probably wear them to the NC opera, where everyone dresses up and a tall woman won't stand out as much because most of the women are wearing heels. The rear heel is about 3/4" wide, so easier walking than an actual stiletto.
@Doc: Not so much life-changing, but no one had ever said that to me before. It was such a girl-to-girl compliment and I loved it.

Those shoes were a must have! That outfit looks great. I understand the words, just the normalcy of the girl to girl in the statement, it is the small things that make such a difference. Congrats!
