Like many I?ve been at this a long time. My collection has grown from a small box of things to a small tote. Over the (many) years the small tote grew into a large tote. Like the big black and yellow ones all over social media a few years back. Some how that large tote grew into two large totes and as of this afternoon a third large tote is in the mix. Now this isn?t because of one big shopping spree or excessive spending. But over many years of collecting. And now I?m looking at things saying??I?ll never wear that again? or ?that style just doesn?t work?. I also find I?ve found simplicity in the routine of certain styles of panties and bras with some old favorites just not making the cut. Like the changing of the seasons so is the next phase in the journey.

So my dear, is this like a full on purge or just a scale down. I would imagine a lot of us are just like the girls, can?t part with nothing. My wife 80 has clothes all the way back to her Woodstock days. I have stuff in the closet that just don?t work for my current girl look. For that matter far more girl clothes than male, especially underwear. LOL Some things are just sentimental especially in the ?Phases? of crossdressing.

I have been doing this for a very long time. We are moving (down sizing) so i'm going in a different direction. Two closets down to one :).

I have gone from contractor bags full of wonderful stuff now down to basically the size of one small gym bag. I guess it comes with age.

Before downsizing, I had an entire walk-in closet and several dressers and an entire wing of the house for Carla playtime. With all that space, inexpensive stuff from thrift shops and no need to hide anything anymore, I'd amassed quite a collection. One of the first orders of business with the new house was building a proper pink closet along with the man cave. I have things that don't fit anymore or were just the allure of the moment that take up space along with the three bags of donation stuff.

As the old saying goes ?There?s no future, just the past repeating itself?. I agree. Styles do repeat themselves.

After more than thirty five years in the same house, culling things is an ongoing problem. Stuff just seems to keep coming in! Pretty things are a particular problem. I've just launched a new attempt at simplifying; we'll see how it works out.
Of course, instead of sorting, I'm sitting here typing....

I don't purge but occasionally I'll come across something that I know I haven't worn for a long time and I'm unlikely to in the future. Hence it makes sense to donate it to charity. And while some styles do resurface there's one's that hopefully will never see the light of day again outside of costume party.
So now I like to have a rotation policy and while not quite one in one out I do try to keep my wardrobe in check but it does seem to grow a little year on year.

My clothes occupy like 60-70% of wardrobe, bathroom cabinet is almost entire mine and except one drab pair of shoes the shoe cabinet is mine entirely.
Not speaking about small things here and there.
But I'm not gonna scale down anytime soon. I'll just slow down with purchasing new stuff. At least I hope.

I've gradually taken over the wifes wardrobe it only had a few dresses until I started wearing more......so much so the blouses moved into my wardrobe. lol Then thertes a suitcase full in the loft......that I rarely wear but just don't want to get rid of. My wife often picks out something else for me to wear....sometimes I buy sometimes she does. Don't think I've thrown any dresses out.....the odd nightie thats worn out. I wear nightie's every night now.

I'm at two totes and a "jump bag". Right now, I'm pretty much restricted to the "jump bag", which has crossdressing essentials. The totes are buried in a closet. About 1.5 years ago, they were not in the closet, and I had full access to everything for a few months. But, then two adult kids (who don't know) moved back home. Thus, just the jump bag. I sometimes rotate things in the tote bag, to kind of keep it fresh.
my femme wardrobe is about the same size as my male wardrobe but gets 80-90% of the wear time now that I'm retired. I have to keep it separated because my grandsons are curious about everything and I have to maintain a bit of plausible deniability.
I've got one doublewide closet that's about 1/4 males stuff. I have one large dresser with LOTS of femme stuff. I have a small dresser with panties and then I have multiple large footlockers with seasonal things which i rotate to closets as appropriate.
my main closet is mostly male but I have some longer nightwear hanging in there. It's less likely to be explored by the grands, but there'll be some explaining to do if it ever happens.
