Today I have met some people that I have spoken to previously at a birthday party I was attending.
One of the ladies has a young niece who is at the tender age of thirteen. Chris (the aunty) had been telling her niece that she had met a woman who used to be a man. The reason Chris mentioned this is because her niece is feeling that she is in the wrong body and wants to be a boy.
It sounded as if Chris gave a glowing report of my transition which the youngster found intriguing.
The niece took off to her room and began to crochet a lipstick holder for me. It is multi coloured but predominantly pink.
Chris gave it to me today along with how it came to be made.
I was really moved that a young stranger would do this for me.

After receiving this gift I went back to my table and set it down before explaining the story behind it. A couple of the ladies saw the funny side and mentioned that it could be a warmer for those less endowed men in the room.
Out of respect for the young persons gift I put a stop to the fun and slipped it in to my handbag.

You gave the gift of you experience and the young person reciprocated. That is very sweet.

Nice story. It's refreshing to read about or experiencing young kids who are more willing to express what they are feeling. One of my wife's female cousins has a daughter who from birth has felt she is a boy. Without any input from any adults, she has been dealing with her inner emotions. My brother's wife's granddaughter has felt she is a male since birth. Again, with no encouragement or intervention, one way or the other, she has progressed to what her inner makeup tells her what she is.

I'm trying to think of how many boys I've known that can crochet? Coming up blank so far!
