Well I'm mostly an under dresser, love my lingerie as did my late wife. Now for the last six months I have just been wearing panties because one of my kids moved back home after a long nasty divorce. Today he tells me he is going to meet with a buddy for a couple of days and will be back sometime mid week. I tell him have fun. He is barely out of the driveway and I am digging into my hidden lingerie, slip into a black lace teddie that makes me feel nice. Then say why not and slip into my lbd. Relaxing in the recliner in the Living room for a couple of hours just enjoying being dressed and realizing how much I miss my lingerie and nightgowns. When I hear his truck pull back into the driveway. I have about 30 seconds to change. Run to my bedroom take the dress off throw it in the closet yank on my jeans knowing I don't have time to get the teddie off. A quick grab of a long sleeve t shirt as the boy walks in the door. My heart is pounding but all is cool. The trip got called off because his buddy had a medical emergency. When I finally got my heart rate back to normal I enjoyed the day knowing I was wearing my favorite teddie. Can't wait till he goes away for a few days.

Experience tip: Head for the nearest bathroom. Then, don't come out until he's in his room, etc!:heehee:

Yep, it's happen to most of over the years. How we don't lose some to heart attacks I don't know. It seems most of us can change faster than Batman or Superman when called upon.

Since he is living in your house, have you considered telling him about your CDing?

You dodged the bullet yet missed an opportunity for the great reveal and to never have to hide it anymore.
I mean, if that's viable.

I remember those days well, before I came out fully to my wife.
Stealing those few hours to enjoy all my clothes and then seeing the car pull in the driveway, or hearing a knock on the door when no one was expected.
So glad that's over and I can just dress when I please.
Enjoy your moments, I know how rare they can be.

char GG stole my thunder. If your son is old enough to have been married and now divorced, he's old enough to know his dad enjpys cross dressing. I say that from the perspective of a father with a 52 year old son who does NOT know his dad cross dresses. However, if I didn't have a wife who forbids me to tell family and friends, he would know as would my daughter.

And perhaps that's a way to get the son back out into his own place quicker...?

Anyway, he may be old enough -- but is it appropriate enough?

Sometimes it might be, sometimes it probably wouldn't be.

I suppose one's mileage may vary...

P.S. Sorry to hear about your son's friend! Hope all is well.

It is better to tell before you show, accidentally or otherwise.

I’m out to my whole family. I formally came out only to my wife. For the others, I just showed up. My youngest daughter had a real problem with it. So I sat her down and explained to her that I came from an abusive family. I told her about some of the times I was beaten unmercifully for nothing at all. Then I asked her "Has anything like that ever happened to you?" I've been a good father. I refused to let her think less of me just because I prefer female clothing.

If you have not been in a similar situation do you even Crossdress?

Jenni thank you for my first laugh of the day. Of course you are correct.
Now that I live in closer proximity to my son and family there is more of a possibility of something like this. My wife worries about it more than me. I do have coverup items in a couple different places in the house in case of a surprise.

Had a similar experience years ago when I was a youngster, it was around the time my sister was getting married, can't quite remember was it before or after, anyway I had the house to myself for a few hours, so obviously being alone in the house, the temptation of trying on the wedding dress was too good an opportunity to pass up. I was just admiring myself in the mirror, when I heard the dreaded knock on the door, initially I froze and wanted the ground to swallow me up, then another knock on the door, which stirred me into action, in record time I had the dress off and back into my clothes and answered the door. It was a neighbour dropping off a wedding gift, she seemed annoyed that I hadn't answered the door sooner, if only she knew! Anyway, after she went, I had to go back and check that the dress was OK and put everything back in it's place, only had that done when my sisters and mom returned home. Unfortunately I never got the chance to wear the dress again, which was a shame as it was gorgeous. I've never liked the neighbour since!
