Anyone know Washington DC

I'll be traveling to Washington DC tomorrow and I'm hoping to find some place nice for a gurl to stay, some place to go out to dinner, a movie and maybe a little shopping -- all en fem. Anyone have any recommendations?

All I can tell you is that the last time that I was up that way, we were told,

"Don't go downtown to 11th St. (2 blocks from the White House) unless you're in full combat gear and at least in platoon strength armed to the teeth ~ its the Wild, Wild West" That was back in 85'!!!
