OK. This is a test!! Please do not try this at home! Hehehe

I started an experiment last week on my face. I have a friend who is getting laser and electrical removal of all her facial hair. And not that I'm envious or anything but it got me thinking. If I can pluck my eyebrows and they don't grow back in......why not my face. Since I'm not a hairy girl, I picked an area on my chin and plucked all the hairs off (all 12 LOL) and imediately the skin underneath was smooth and soft!!!! WOW Most of the hairs came out with the folicles and after a week they haven't started coming back yet. I love the feel of my skin less the hair!!!!!!

Has anyone tried this or has anyone read about someone doing such a stupid thing??? LOL and if so what were the results!

I'll keep you abreast (I just love that word) of the experiment.

Love Karren

There's been a thread on facial hair plucking Karren so maybe you can get something from that if you can find it.

And I wish you luck in your experiment in agonising pain.

I have two patches of hairless leg right above my ankles. It is a smooth as a baby's cheek. How did it happen, could my socks rubbing against the skin cause this. Could rubbing or plucking out the facial hairs have the same result? Hmmmm I guess I will be rubbing tube socks on my face for a week or so..give you all the results.

The hair will grow back soon, hair grows in different stages. You will have to pluck that same area a lot before (and even if) the roots will be shocked so the hair doesn't grow back.

Hey I was just kidding about the socks..but not about the bare skin patches on my legs..

Funny you should mention this. One of the extremely few benefits of aging that I've discovered is that parts of my legs seem to be going bald, before my head. In my case parts of the calves way above where socks rub. Prolly more than anyone needed to know, but there you have it

Yeah, that is it! Now if I could just control the alopecia!! No shortage of hair on my head..it is like a forest. But unfortuately...I was prematurely gray..now just gray...couldn't you just die.

It was quite painless for me! But some areas may be more sensative than others. Bet its still way less painful than childbirth!!! hehehe

When I first came out to my wife, I tried plucking around my chin and above my cheeks. They all came back. I thought if plucked 100 hairs a day times so many days I would have my whole face done. NOT! Since then I bought a good Mach 3 razor. It works for now, but I do see electrolysis or laser in the future. If I win the powerball! By the way, I had my eyebrows trimmed (plucked) a while back and the girl told me not to take any aspirins beforehand because it might thin the blood too much and promote bleeding.

I just bought Flo some of this Nair for men. Haven't had a chance to try it yet but I will keep you all informed.

Biology would be an indication that they will grow back .If you want good results and desire to spent a significent amount try electrolysis .I had it done on my legs and chest. IT works !:D

Do you know that once hair is plucked, it can take up to 4 weeks to grow back?? And you can't pull out a follicle I'm afraid, since the follicle is actually the hole where the hair is. What you probably pulled out was the root, either white (still alive) or black (dead).

If you have been plucking your eyebrows for years, then yes they will stop growing eventually, but the beard hair, it is much thicker, much deeper and harder to damage, plucking them out will not stop them growing in a week!

Plucking your beard?
Well it would certainly pass the time.
But I think it would be a bit like painting the Forth Bridge.

For the last ten years I have had a nostril hair issue and have been plucking them methodically. I have a regular purge when I yank every single visible hair out, roots and all. After a couple of weeks they come back and, as far as I can tell, my regular plucking has not made any difference to the rate of regrowth. It is worthwhile though, just to get a week or two of freedom from a nose full of pubes

Now, even my ears have started sprouting hair...does anybody else have hairy earlobes ? I just wish the damm stuff would grow on my scalp.

My wife enjoys seeing hair growing on my ears, well, actually she enjoys yanking them out

Same here, but I got my revenge yesterday. She asked me to massage her calves (yes, really...loong story involving horses) and I found one long hair she must have missed when shaving. It must have been two inches long.

So...I did what I had to. She screamed the place down :D

Hi Karren. When I pluck my eyebrows it last for about 2 weeks and then it starts growing back in. So I would say your facial hair is going to grow back in soon. I have been using that that new 5 bladed razor called "Fusion" and the shave is incredibly close. My face feels baby smooth for quite a while afterwards and there is no 5 o'clock shadow. BTW your smile is beautiful.

Hi Karen,

I plucked my beard out prior to starting electrolysis, and yes it lasts for acouple of weeks. However it does grow back and the hair folical is deeper in the skin, also you'll get ingrown hairs as well. I'm speaking from experience here. I've plucked and waxed. If you want to remove the hair get done profesionally either laser or electrolysis. I'm just about done with my beard, just have a little left under my lower lip. It's so nice not to have, to shave close and get nicked by the razor. You'll love the smooth skin, and you can go with less foundation, aswell.

THE PAIN IS WORTH THE GAIN!
