on the Planet. But I'm happy with who I am.
In drab, I'm the truck driver you see on the
road every day. By night, I'm the gurl in the
cab wearing the black mini(usually) or the
calf-length print skirt(on those occasions when
[gawd I hate to say this] I'm more, ugh, conservative).

But I don't give a rat's rear end how I look to others.
Thanks to this forum, I'm free to be ME. GG "friend"
understands. Wife? Let's just say I'm working on it.

Welcome Rhonda and "Truckin For A Livin" is hard on your home life and being a gurl has got to be even more complicated. Good luck and don't give up on us here because we all have something to give.

Hi, Rhonda. You don't own a corner of the the "unattractive gurl" market yet. I got part of it too. :D I used to drive the big rigs too and loved to make some of my night runs dressed up then spend some time in the sleeper in a sexy nightie. When you are up there in the cab only another trucker can see what you are wearing so you have the advantage of the high ground. Nobody else can see you below the neck. And that sleeper makes a great changing room!

Hey Rhonda

The only thing that matters is that you're happy, that's the key to success in my book. Sounds to me like you're a beautiful person inside too, and that's a pretty cool stretch of highway to be on.

Well you know I sell truck tires for a living, now every truck driver that pulls in and need tires I'll be thinking whats he really like;)

I guess, then, that you're beautiful on the inside. But don't sell yourself short. I've seen before and after pics from transformation websites that literally work miracles. They're professionals, though, and all of us are amateurs, some with a bit more practice than others. You may think you're an ugly chick, but I'd like to see what a real pro would do with you.

Hey Rhonda, I logged over 150,000 miles in ten months in 2003. I now know that being a good driver is all about your mental attitude. You have to drive your own drive, and let the others deal with their issues. If my dispatchers had located back-hauls, I would probably still be driving. Don't judge yourself by other's pereived perspectives. If you are happy with who you are, go for it. Wenda

It's not really about how you look.

I mean, if it was, how many of us would actually dress up? It's pretty difficult for somebody with male genes to look better than a female as a female.

you are your best judge. Do you think you are beautiful?, then you are, you can be your worst critic if you beat up on yourself. what Im saying is, hold your head high and let the beautiful inner you come out. look in the mirror and say I am beautiful and when you go out you will be beautiful. hope you understand that you are as beautiful as you feel so feel it girl and let the world see how beauutiful you are. love hugs and kisses GeeGee2

It's how you feel to yourself when you are wearing. I'll never look like a model but thats ok, I like the way I feel about myself when dressed

Rhonda...

I know a lot of CD truck drivers and some of them look like they just fell off the ugly tree and others are quite femme and cute. If you are like most of us, you're somewhere in the middle. Anyway, There is more to being beautiful than looking like Pam Anderson. It's what's inside that counts!

I bet you are not ugly enough to stop a truck, but you stop it at every red light anyway!. LOL! Keep on truckin' !

No matter what you're dealing with, this is the key to self acceptance. If somebody has a problem with the way you are then that's their issue. Good for you. :)

I would venture a guess that an unattractive CD who is comfortable with herself is probably far happier than a CD hottie that is conflicted or ashamed.

I also agree with the posts in this thread about not underestimating what some practice or professional work can do.
