I'm new here, so forgive me if this is old ground, but I'm wondering where on the "scale" of crossdressing everyone is here. I say "scale" because it seems there's typically a standard progression -- dressing at home, going out, etc. -- that most tgirls follow. I know not EVERYONE follows the same route, but for this poll, can you say which of the options best describes how far you've gone. thanks -- have fun!

Many of us have done (do) more than one of your choices and none excludes the others.

You really should change the poll to allow for multiple choices. it's a checkbox when setting it up or modifying it. It would make it more useful IMHO.

Might need another slot for those who have gone past Picture to attend Tri-ess or other such meetings but not otherwise going outside. Multiple choices would allow a better sample since we're all pretty different and some may not progress in a linear way but jump right over some things you mention.

I dress at home everyday, with clothes I have bought, and clothes my wife gives me,( we are both size 12) or clothes we buy together. I have gone out at night dressed, and to a GLBT bar a couple of times. I shave my whole body everyday, and wear panties 24/7. I started out many years ago dressing only at home with borrowed and bought clothes. I now buy all my own clothes and dress when I want to (I live alone). I go out to all venues dressed. These include mainstream, highend restaurants, the theater, concerts, shopping, etc. I do go to cd bars occasionally, but for me, that has gotten old. I prefer to go and do what women do. It was hard at first, but got better as time went on. It just takes confidence to both look and act as a gg would do.

I have been out dressed quite a bit but not to many of the venues listed. Been to the symphony, shopping, mainstream restaurants, church but I am not a club sort of person so I can't check either of them off.

BTW, the symphony is a great place to be able to get dressed up and fit in and, for those that aren't comfortable interacting with others while dressed, you can by the ticket in advance and not say a word as you turn the ticket in. After that, you are supposed to remain quiet most of the time!

2) dressed with a SO as part of sex play . . . but that was a long time ago

4) went out in public a few times wearing panties under drab clothes. might seem tame for some of you, but for me a huge and terrifying step

What happens when you really don't currently fall into any of those. Growing up was number 1 and I definately buy my own clothes now. I have taken some pictures of myself at home so one through three are me.

I have been out to a friends halloween party and hanging out at denny's afterward... thats not really on the list. Now its part of my normal attire. I don't wear dresses, but I normally wear jeans and shirts (things I like) to work and hanging out with friends. Nots not very girlly at all, but I like my clothes and I love how they complement my figure and personality.

I picked the 7th option. I'm not sure your progression is all inclusive or even linear but I have done everything short of 24/7, hormones, therapy, and surgery. I still have exciting new experiences within those 7 options and don't need to go any further to 8, 9, and 10.

I dress at home with my own wardrobe to practice. As with most of us, I seem to take an inordinate amount of pictures. My favorite thing to do is to go out to lunch and some shopping with my wife. I try on clothing before buying (the only way to go girls!) and have had no problems. We have also gone out in the evening which allows us both to wear nicer outfits. Went to Menopause the Musical in Boston and had a fabulous time! A little unusual feeling as 90% of the audiance was female. If you can get out, even to a limited degree, do it!

Loads! Until last year. In the past I have dressed almost every day while at work. I worked alone apart from occasional visitors...nearly got busted at work a few times. In fact, I did get busted once, but nothing seemed to happen.

I'm almost always dressed as female after being on hormones for 4 years and being completely open at work. My co-workers use female pronouns when referring to me in the workplace and I go clubbing with my roommate and her friends as a girl as well.
