Hi There Girls, how do i go about buying the following dress without my mother findingout about it? As i'm scared of her reaction if i say to her "Mum, there's a dress on the web i want to buy".
I'm not got with money as i've got learning dificulties and its very hard, what do you girls think i should do?

Well Janet, it's a size 12. Do you really think you can wear a size 12? Even if you do like tight fitting dresses, are you sure it will fit? Sorry if I sound cruel, but we have discussed our weight problems before in the other forum.
Now, if you can't afford something, then either you stay away from ebay and similar sites, or come out to your mother and ask for her help.

SAGE ADVICE as usual :) Momma always drilled into me, "If you can't afford it, don't buy it." and "Save for the things that you really want". It's these philosophies I point to as the single reason why I have no debt, have never been late on a single bill, etc ;)
That said, it is a beautiful dress, and when I *think* that a purchase like this will be a pleasing thing, i usually end up feeling worse than if I had just turned my head and kept walking (surfing) because all my pretty dresses end up hanging in the closet gathering inches of dust because I have nowhere to wear them other than around the house and somehow that doesn't seem worth it to me :( All dolled up and nowhere to go syndrome
A word of advice--Bridesmaid dresses are generally altered 99% of the time to fit the girl for the wedding. On e-bay, it might say size 12, but that might be before it was altered. A dress like the one in the pic would have to be tried on to ensure a great fit. If you don't have the money, stay clear of it.
