I decided on a name change (including a new profile) after many unwanted contacts from other sites.

I couldn't vote because there was no option for NO. I never want to change my femme name; I'm Linda, have always been Linda and always will be.

No
Why change from something you like
Maybe because they don't like it?
Or maybe because at the time they felt it suited them but now it doesn't?
Once upon a time I changed my name, and then I changed it again, and once more. I may change it again, who knows.

Where are the YES/NO options to your questions?
Never changed nor desired to change my name.

My wife changed mine. She had a friend named Becky and said it reminded her of this friend. So to her I am Laura.

I haven't found one that truly seems to suit me yet.

Years ago I was Heather but Heather was kind of shy and withdrawn. When I came out as my femme self, I changed it to Victoria Susan Richards after Vicky Sue Robinson of Disco fame although I wanted it a little more formal, hence Victoria Susan. Also, Susan Richards was the Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four (long running comic book--recent movie). Additionally, Susan Richards was an Empowered woman Having the ability to make invisible force fields, etc. So., a lot of thought and meaning went into that name. Recently, however, I felt that Victoria was a bit stuffy, so changed my first name to Ericka which seems to better suit who I am at this time, kind of a friendly people person who accepts everyone for who they are. Hope I didn't put you gals to sleep but my names do have meaning for me at least. Take care, Ericka

No I like my "femme" name.
By the way the option "no I didn't" is not in the questionnaire options :-) Why ?
Love.
Eugenie actually it is "Eugénie" with an accute on the second "e"

I choose Grace in honor of my grandmother about a year and half ago as I was learning about myself. But it has been very hard to give up my given name so I'm been leaning toward using a feminine version of it.

Echoing Eugenie's comment above, why wasn't there a "I'm perfectly happy with my name and have had no desire to change it..."? That's what my response would have been...

I would like to change my fem name, if I can find one that would fit me better. The name, Miss Vicki, comes from my first wife. We had a nasty divorce after she discovered my secret. I do need something that is a lot more fun and sexy.

Ericka's process is a lot like my own. We have a choice so why not find a name you really like? If you find it early, stay with it. If you try one and come to realize it has drawbacks, change it. Basically, I've tried three, like Goldilocks and the porridge: the first was too hot, the second too cold and the third just right - I think! :)

Guess it's not possible to change the poll. You forgot one item
"I like my name and have not changed it"
So I can not really vote in the poll.

my femme name is also my male name ..
i always had people come and say to me that they never knew of any boy with that name .. and i suppose they still havent.
but having said that .. most of my friends and family call me D now anyhow to shorten it up.
i dont have any wish to change it, i think id feel really weird if i had to actually change my name to something else.
