Hey there.. for those of you have tried - does it work?

I have a reddish / brown highlighted wig that I would like to make darker (almost black). Can I do this safely? It's not human hair. It's some kind of synthetic. Can I just go to the local grocery store and get some hair dye and put it on the wig? What will happen?

Thanks in advance..

You might try CLOTH dye--like RIT or something. But you would have to be careful about the color.:D

NOPE Only human hair can be died. Synthetics will not take the color and if they did for some strange reason they will not hold it. A professional may be able to do it but might as well get a new wig for the cost in my opinion. I had 16 wigs and am down to 4, all human hair and all nice and soft and colorable if I want!!!

Darker hair can be woven into it, if you care of a streaked look.
