Well, Divas, Las Vegas 2006 is over. What an incredible time I had... nine days totally enfemme! I took off from work early on Friday, April 14th, and went to the nail salon for a full manicure and pedicure... so relaxing and it just set the stage for the coming week. Helen finished my nails and I was off to the house to load the the car for the trip. We (my wife HTGurl GG and I) had packed over six pieces of luggage for the trip. I must confess that it was mostly stuff for me :p ... dresses, skirts, blouses, sweaters, shoes, "unmentionables, makeup, jewelery, personal care products, hosiery, well, you get the idea. Not one piece of drab clothing was packed anywhere in our luggage.
The weather in Southern California that day was one of those unusual rainy days. It didn't make any difference to me. I had been looking forward to this day for so long. We got everything in the car and were on the road by 3PM. The idea was to try and get a bit ahead of the typically heavy traffic traffic on I15. It worked! Maybe the bad weather turned out to be helpful because traffic was uncharacteristically light. HT and I chatted away the whole trip. Even with all the anticipation, the four hour drive passed by quickly, and we pulled into the Sahara hotel valet parking area at 7PM. Twenty minutes later we were in our room and our luggage (all six pieces, plus the laptop, plus a couple of bags of miscellaneous "stuff") was being delivered. I called Nora (a Las Vegas local and Divas organizer) and we made arangements to meet at Zingers, a Vegas gender friendly club. Between the unpacking, dressing, and makeup, it was after 9PM before we made it to Zingers. Nora was there along with her wife and a CD friend from the east coast who was visiting for the weekend. Her friend's name was Steffie and she is a member of this forum... small world :) ! We enjoyed an adult beverage (or two ;) ) and listened to the house band play. They were very good. I even danced a little (I didn't say I was good). All in all, we had a great evening. We got back to the hotel about 1AM.
Tomorrow new experiences await Holly. For now, nite nite.

Holly it sounds like a very rousing time. I am so happy you enjoyed yourself so much. I know the feeling of staying dressed for an extended period of time and it is quite an exhilirating feeling. I am looking forward to a full account.

Sounds like awesome fun! Marla and I love going for weekends away in nice hotels (last time was New York city for a week) however, I've never been to Las Vegas, and never been fully en femme for nine days. I'm so envious :daydreaming:
Anyway Holly keep us posted on your adventures :)

Saturday morning I got up, showered and dressed. HT wasn't feeling too well and wanted to hang around the hotel but she wanted me to get on with things. We had a bite to eat at the Caravan Cafe there in the hotel and met Rebecca for the first time. She has worked at the hotel for as long as HT and I have been married (37 years). During the coming week we would come to know one another better.
Once we finished eating, I got the car from valet parking and headed out. First stop was Glaour Boutique and a visit with my friend Amy. We hadn't seen one another since last October so we had a lot to catch up on! Steffie (the girl I met at Zingers the night before) was there as well. Amy had just finished a makeover for her and Steffie looked GREAT! The three of us visited for awhile, then Steffie had to leave. Amy and I continued to visit and catch up on each others lives. We talked about the trials and tribulations of raising children and how lucky we both were to have such wonderful spouses/SO's in our lives. All too soon, Amy had other clients to see, and I had lots of errands to run, so we said goodbye... but I had an appointment with her Monday for my first of three for the week.
Next stop was Sears at the Boulvard Mall on Maryland Parkway. I wanted to get a small gift for my little sister who would be arriving Sunday evening. I looked in the jewelry department for a nice pen of necklace but just couldn't find what I wanted... but I did find a nice blue butterfly pin that would go nicely with the suit I was planning on wearing Monday at the welcome dinner so I took it up to the register and paid for it.
Now it was off to a beauty supply house. I needed some products to care for my wig. It needed cleaning and a little something to restore some of the shine it had lost. A nice young man helped me find some shampoo, a conditioner to help with the shine, and a hairspray that has low buildup. Again, I paid for my purchases and I was on my way once more.
Target was next on my places to go. HT needed some knee highs and I needed some AA batteries. Browsing through the hosiery I felt I really belonged there. However, guess what I discovered? Target, at least in Las Vegas, doesn't carry knee high's any longer! Can you believe that? Well, that's what the sales associate told me. I found a pack of AA batteries completed my purchase and was out the door, headed to my next destination.
The Las Vegas Outlet Mall is south of the strip on Las Vegas Boulevard, and that was my next stop. I parked the car and headed toward the door. It was quite breezy and I was afraid I was going to lose my hair! But I kept my head down and made it inside safely. I still needed to pick up some knee highs for HT, needed to find a gift for my little sister, and well, maybe a new dress for the wedding on Friday. Oh my... is that a Dress Barn I see? Never have been in a Dress Barn before. What a lot of pretty things. I was looking for something pink, as that is what the brides had requested that the wedding party wear. One of the associates was very helpful and we found two that looked nice on the hanger. But I had to know what they looked like on me. So I asked if I could try them on. "Sure, no problem," she said. Off we went to the fitting rooms. She set up a room for me and left me to try on the dresses we had selected. I slipped the first one on over my head and pullled it down over my hips... it fit! And it looked pretty good. Then I tried on the second dress. It was so pretty. They both were... so I bought them! Here's what the second one looked like...
The young lady at the register said that she would be happy to hold my purchases at the counter while I shopped some more in the mall. The next stop was the Playtex/Bali/Leggs store to pick up the knee highs for HT. I found the color and style she had asked for and took them to the register and paid for them... only $4.79 for a box of 10 pairs. Now all I needed was something for Kari, my little sister. Off I go again...
As I was walking I saw a kiosk that had signs in them. One caught my eye in particular. It said, "Princess Parking Only. All Others Will Be Toad!" It was so cute. But I didn't buy it. I saw a Claire's just a few stores ahead and though maybe I could finds something in there. I was looking around when all of a sudden I saw it; a necklace in the shape of a heart but it came apart into two half hearts. One said, "Big Sis" on it and the other half said "'Lil Sis." I bought them. The chains on them were not very pretty so I found another store nearby and bought two silver chains, one for each half.
I had done everything I had set out to do. It was almost 6PM and I had pretty much spent the whole day just running around town doing "girl" errands. I had the best time! Maybe it doesn't seem like a big deal to you, but I had spend the day enfemme in mainstream stores and malls in a major city and had no negative experiences whatsoever. I interacted with many different people and was always treated respectfully. To me, it was just an amazing day. I had to get home to tell HT about it.
She was in the room, but thankfully feeling better than in the morning. I showed her my purchases and told her about my day. She was happy for me. We went out for a bite to eat and settled in for an evening of adult gaming. We both lost some cash but we won the big payoff... we have each other.
Tomorrow Easter Sunday and I meet my little sister!

Of all the rotten timing. I got to Vegas the day Divas ended...I would have much rather hung out with you and the other beautiful girls than an army of radio and tv folks. (No offense to the other fem broadcasters here!)
Next year, though....
I must say that Nora is one of the nicest ladies I have ever chatted with. One of her local groups (I think Tri-Ess?) had a meeting Monday night and she was very sweet in extending an invitation. Regrettably, work reared its ugly head and I got to tour my exotic hotel room. :(

Holly..what a wonderful time it sounds like you had...I often wonder what it would be like to spend several days en fem...it seems theres a lot of things to do to keep the look nice and fresh...shaving..makeup touch up.. fixing nails etc.....a lot of work but it would be worth it...the best part of your trip is that you have a supportive SO to share it with....

Before I continue I want to thank you all for the kind words. For those of you who have observed that I am fortunate to have such a wonderful wife, one who embraces the entire me, you are so so right. In fact, I would go so far as to say I am blessed. I hope this doesn't sound like bragging because it is not. This has much more to do with her that it has to do with me. Even without the crossdressing, I am not the easiest person to live with. HTGurl is one of a kind. There is nothing that will ever convince me that she is not the perfect match for me. She is the woman I most admire above all others and represents in total, that femininity I seek for myself. I love you, honey...
Day three in Las Vegas; Easter Sunday. Although Holly is always a part of me, "she" has never been to church dressed as she is most comfortable. Today would be the day. I showered and shaved to begin my preparation for today's outing. Church started at 10AM... it's now a little after 8AM. HT volunteered to help me with my makeup and hair... and I was so grateful. SHe fussed and mussed with my face and hair for over an hour (I never said I was a natural beauty :) ). That's just one more of the reasons I love her so much. Her stand has always been, that if this is something that I am going to do (crossdressing), then she insists that I do it to the best of my ability, that I take whatever steps necessary to present myself in the most positive manner possible. With the hair and makeup done, I went to the closet to pick out a nice dress to wear to church. I was planning on attending Metropolitan Community Church in Las Vegas. The literature said that casual attire would be acceptable, but this was Easter, after all. I picked out a lovely spring dress with a pretty floral pattern and a pair of white shoes. There's a picture below. I was ready to go.
I headed downstairs and out to the valet parking area. I handed my ticket to Cheryl, probably the best valet parking attendent in all Nevada. Cheryl and I had come to know one another quite well after having visited Las Vegas several times. She always greets me with a warm smile and a kind word. It's impossible not to get caught up in her positive outlook of life. She bought my car around and asked where I was off to. I told her I was going to church. Cheryl asked me to pray for her, something I was more than happy to do. I headed out the driveway of the hotel and ten minutes later I was pulling into the parking lot of the church. As I crossed the parking lot, heading towards the church building, my confidence soared... I can't explain exactly why that was, but by the time I had reached the door, a half dozen people had greeted me and welcomed me into their fellowship that morning. Once inside, even more members of the congregation came up to me and introduced themselves. I introduced myself as Holly... it felt good, very good. I spotted another T-girl inside and introduced myself to her as well. Her name was Tootsie. I recognized the name from the Divas list. We hit it off well and decided to sit with one another. As the service began, I was relieved to hear some music that I was familiar with. Soon my spirit was soaring as when two or more are gathered in His name, He is there among us. The music and message were truely inspirational. It was an Easter filled with both hope and promise. At the conclusion of the message, the pastor called for those who wished to recieve communion to come forward. Tootsie and I stood together and, along with other members of the congregation went forward and were served holy communion by one of the church officials... another first for Holly.
At the conclusion of the service, Tootsie and I noticed another T-girl had joined us and we introduced ourselves. We all decided that it would be fun to all go out to lunch together. BJ (the newest T-girl) was a Vegas local and suggested a Thai restaurant not too far from the church, and what a great choice it was! We were also joined by another T-girl as well, but she was in drab this day. The meal was great and the visit was spectacular. A picture of the three of us who were dressed is below. (Note- in both pictures, BJ is on the left and Tootsie is on the right).
Around 1:30PM I headed back to the hotel and changed into something a bit more casual. I found HT at the KENO machines (no surprise to those who know her). My little sister, Kari, was due in at 6PM so we had some time to ourselves. We played some more (and lost some more) but enjoyed one another's company. A little after 5PM I went up to our room to freshen up a bit and to make sure Kari's necklace was ready to give her. HT joined me in the room just a little bit later as she had a bit of freshening up to do herself. We headed back downstairs a few minutes before 6PM so that we could get to the agreed upon meeting place by 6PM. I had no idea what Kari looked like but sher knew me from my picture here on the forum. We weren't there for two minutes before she walked up and introduced herself. She wasn't dressed as she had spent the last two days driving to Vegas from Alberta, Canada, but I could see that she was a beautiful person. The three of us walked to the restaurant in the hotel and got to know one another over a mexican dinner. Kari is a new member of this board so I'll let her tell you about herself. But I will tell you this; she is such a sweet girl and I am so lucky to have her as a part of my life. Without a doubt, I had the best little sister at Divas.
HT wanted to play KENO some more, but Kari and I wanted to talk, so we left her in the casino and headed upstairs to her room. We talked for a couple of hours... about clothes, makeup, shopping, hopes, and dreams. It was so much fun! But we both were getting tired so we finally said goodnight.
Another fabulous day! I learned more about myself. One of the more interesting things I learned is that the spiritual Holly is much the same as the spiritual me in drab. Although I really enjoyed my time at church this morning and can't say that the experience was substantially different for me than going to church in my drab attire. Perhaps it is because the spiritual me encompasses my entire self. I'll have to ponder that some more.
I also met another new person, Kari, with whom I felt an immediate bond. She may be taller than me (and I'm 6'2"), but she will forever be my 'lil sister. Her innocence and her trust touched me in a very special way and I would come to grow even closer to her as the week goes on.
Tomorrow- Kari's first professional makeover, the first of Holly's three makeovers for the week, and the kickoff dinner for Diva's.
