Fishnets for CDs are fine but they should not be OTT. I am currently looking for some with a fine net rather than big "holes"

Why not?
While I'm not neccessarily recommending them for daily wear, they can be a fun little adition to the wardrobe!
One tip that a former girlfriend told me, was to wear suntan pantyhose or stockings under the 'nets. Adds to the dimension of the fishnets, and the tactile sensation is kinda cool, too.

Fishnet stockings or hose are GREAT!

I love them but they do tend to make you look trashy. Which is fine when you are in the mood or are going out to a club but trashy is flashy and the best way to pass is to blend in rather then stand out.

Fishnets are great to accentuate a dressy outfit. Not really appropriate for daily wear. I have seen gg's wear nude fishnets with a summer outfit and they looked great. I agree with Billie on the wearing of nude sheer panty hose under the fishnets. I wear fishnets occasionally for dressy occasions, and have worn sheer, nude panty hose under them for years. The panty hose under the fishnets allows you to slip them on and off easily. This reduces chances of runs and tears. with sheer hose, the fishnets are significantly more comfortable to wear. It also reduces the legmarks on the skin from the fishnets.

There's nothing wrong with trashy. :( Well, maybe there is, but it really is a shame they're considered such, because everything else aside, I think they look really cool with pretty much any outfit.

Not a big fan of them..have had a pair or two in the past..but they are sort of out of my norm in dressing. But, when I went to Dream Dresser in DC...the sales girl said that they do a better job of hiding leg hair if not shaving....I never really noticed that though..you will still see your hair..
