Hi girls,
I was out last night as Steffie. When I changed back into male mode, I didn't remove my toenail polish (red) in case I wanted to go out again this weekend (I didn't want to have to redo them this weekend).
Anyway a short while ago the doorbell rang and I went to answer it and opened it a crack when I look down at my feet and yikes!!!!! I just left the door ajar and told the person to hold on a sec. I ran and put on my socks. A simple case of brainlock on my part. No harm done. Phewwww!
Somehow I don't think I could have possibly explained red toenail polish to someone!

I say don't worry about it. I just finished washing my truck and was wearing my cute blingy flip flops with pale pink polish on my toes. Nobody noticed and my driveway is in very close quarters with my neighbors (townhouse).

Hi Steffie,
I'm always going around the house with bare feet and painted toenails, but I never answer the door! :cheeky: However, I'm with Katrina about going outside, if I have to go out to the driveway or do someting with my car I never bother about trying to cover up my feet. I figure that no-one can tell from a distance.

Steffie - I do this with toes all the time, as it's really a pain to take the polish off and re-do between dressups. And yes, painted toes have almost gotten me in trouble more than anything else...

My son has noticed that I had painted toes. At the time I told him it was an anti-fungal thing. I'm pretty sure that didn't hold any water as my closet is 2/3 femme clothes. Kids are smart.

My toes have a single coat of OPI's "Significant Other", and I go to the gym to swim every morning. Not sure if anyone's noticed, but no-one's said anything.

I can just imagine the scene in 3 months time when you have forgotten all about it. Summer comes....and your son sees a GG with painted toes...and in a loud voice he says...
"Is that anti-fungal stuff?"

I recently had on bright red nail polish for eight weeks. It was tough to remember that I did. Scooted into bed every night very carefully. Had to watch when I got up in the middle of the night. Never got spotted. Not to say my wife doesn't know. She has seen my toes with sheer pink, sheer lilac, clear, and a purple color.

I agree with you gals. I leave polish on my toes all the time. Too much of a nusiance to take it off. As far as my fingers, I use clear, pearl or light pink during the week so it isn't so hard to remove. Take care, Ericka

A lot depends on the shade. For my last pedicure, the nail tech put on a light shade. It's shiny, so is it obvious that I'm wearing polish. But I just got back from wearing sandals to the mall and frankly nobody seemed to notice.
'Course, I am kind of metrosexual en homme, so maybe they just thought I was fashion forward. But the last time I wore sandals out (last fall) I had a coppery color and I did notice some eye flickering down at my toes.
I did once open the door for the UPS guy and forgot that I was wearing a more girly color. OTOH, after receiving multiple deliveries from women's stores, I doubt he was suprised...

It's time for my monthly pedicure. Last month my wife asked what COLOR polish I got my toes done in. Kinda shocked me, as she doesn't know about my JoAnn side. Anyway, it's pedicure time, so I'm going to get the brightest RED polish that Tina has in her shop on my toes.
I always get either clear polish or a very light PINK polish on my nails. I have been getting clear on my toes, but not this time. giggle giggle.

Now that Winter has arriived here in Australia, I have applied a bright pink polish to my toe nails. Pretty easy to hide them by wearing socks as a minimum, but I haven't been for a swim since I recently painted my toe nails!
However, I did go swimming over the Xmas/New year period with bright red nail polish on my toes - I had a good (but false) excuse to use - "Oh my niece did them on Xmas day with her makeup kit gift!"
