I was wondering what types of problems other girls have in order to express their femme selves? Mine is the fact that I have a lot of body hair. If I don't body shave every other day, I look like Ms King Kong. I'm curious to find out what some of you other gals have to go through to make yourselves beautiful? Ericka

Have to agree with the hair thing. I have pale skin and dark hair (where it hasn't turned grey) so I have to shave my legs and arms every day or so when dressing. I've tried the new no touch nair and haven't been impressed. It made me itch and didn't seem to work as good as the old stuff. I like waxing (well like isn't really the right word) but it is so expensive and time consuming. I'm thinking of trying one of the new eppilady type devices and see how they are.

Hi Sally, I can keep up with the body shaving okay but have problems reaching my back hair , so don't bother. The only problem is that it is not conducive to swim suits or evening gowns. When I plan to wear either of those, I use nair until I get rid of it. I shave my face twice a day as I sleep as Ericka, so don't want the concept in my head of being a bearded lady. In my everyday "guy" mode, I use a double track but at night a triple track for the face particularly if I plan on going out. Even so, it's only good for about 12 hours and my face starts turning int a weed patch. I need my guy self, so am not interested in laser treatments or anything. I just find it interesting that because of who we are, we face unique problems and challenges that most people don't. Ericka

The biggest problem by far is height. (And yes, I know there are tall GGs out there. And they also draw a second glance; they just don't get made as CD!) Of course this doesn't bother me when by myself and doesn't affect my image in photos, but it's a killer for a girl who wants to get out more....
After that, upper body. The "moustache area" of my face - between upper lip and the nose. The bottom of my face--too angular, especially when I smile. Hands (though I have feminine looking fingers once you get past the knuckle). Voice.
Other than height, it's actually not too bad a list of complaints.

Wow, that's great. Any other gals want to share their concerns with us? I have a reason for asking this. Ericka

I pretty much have the body hair thing under control, but it's time consuming.
By beard isn't too heavy, mostly chin and upper lip. I use Dermablend make-up. It covers well, but kind of thick for daytime. I just shave my legs, and bleach arm hair. I don't have much back hair, but for what I do have I use a contraption that I found at the local drugstore. I't kind of like a massager with a long handle. It is specially made for applying lotion to your back. I sub the lotion with Nair. it works very well.

Body shape definitely works against me. I'm tall, broad shouldered and narrow-hipped. In other words, i'm built like a refrigerator. Wide, tall, and flat all around. There isn't a corset in the world tight enough to give me an hour glass figure and if I pad my hips, that just makes me look bigger.

I've got the body shaving down to 40 minutes, so it's not too bad. I know a GG who takes an hour to shave one leg(!?). I have to shave my legs and arms every other day but my shoulders, underarms and chest every day. I shave my face twice a day but still have to use beard cover(unlike a certain "Jill of all Trades" who shall remain nameless!)(GRRRR). Yeesh and women thought THEY had to work hard at looking nice! Take care, Ericka

Height and weight. At 6' long or one-piece items sometimes aren't quite long enough. I can go up a size if I have to, but I'm a size 22 to start with. If I want a calf length gown I have to buy a "floor length" one. And I haven't really found anyplace that has tall plus clothing.
Lose weight to help control my diabetes? That's what my meds and diet are for. Lose weight to control my blood pressure? Same as above. Lose weight to help control my cholesterol? As if. Lose weight to find tall womens clothing in my size? NOW we're talking. :D

Same problem here. I have more upper body mass, not much (if any)transistion from waist to hips...pads help.they give the appearance of a smaller waist, and make shoulders look a little narrower...I'd be a happy girl if I could get some of that upper mass to slide down to my behind.

I have two issues that concern me on a daily basis.
The first is beard shadow. I can do a very close shave, apply concealer, makeup, and powder and the beard shadow shows right thru! Yuk!
The second is the difference is clothing sizes. My hips/waist size is 14 (Australian) and my tops are size 18/20 (not fat - just big chest/shoulders). It makes it very difficult to buy a skirt/jacket suit if they are the same size.

That's okay Karr, I love you just the same (even though the green is showing through. I'll blame it on the grass stain! G-r-r-r!). Take care, Hon, Love Ericka P.S. I doubt you have to work THAT hard at it--see my comment on the photo thread.

I'm confused. What are you asking for? If your asking me if I have a problem
crying at sad endings in movies, no. If you are asking if that messes up my
mascara, yes. The true expression of one's feminity is not the mascara but
the tears.

Things that got better with age
My height at 6'0" has reduced slightly. My weight is under control, I no longer have a middle age spread, exercise and a sensible diet sorted that one. Beard cover is less of a problem now because my beard is almost white.
Things that got worse with age :thumbsdn:
The hair sprouting out of orifices and growing everywhere it shouldn't but not where it should. The wrinkles, the sagging.
Things that have not changed :witsend:
Massive hands & feet. I have to get my heels custom made from HayWay in the UK.

My hairy legs, at times I wear 2 pantyhoses/tights and that seems to help hide the hair well. Next is my eye brows, I can't really wax them as it would look funny when I go into male mode, so what I usually do is I wear the wig so the bangs cover my eye brows.
I also have somewhat hairy arms, but I remedy that by wearing long sleeved clothing. Unfortunately, my hands are a dead giveaway, haven't figured out anything for that yet.

Any and all of the above ,Hon. I've expressed those feelings myself. Goes with the "turf" I guess. Ericka
