Strangest confirmation of my passability!

Well, I was at the mall today, shopping (Don’t be so surprised!!! Hehehe) and chatting on my blackberry (another big surprise!!) when out of the blue comes an IM from a female (xsarha????) that went something like this…..

”You are such an ugly woman….how could anyone want to be your friend?” WOW I thought, tough crowd today!! I replied “Well thanks for going out of your way to tell me that and have a great day”. She replied something unintelligent and I said “and by the way I’m not a woman!” “Your not?” she said. “Nope, I’m a male to female crossdresser”. “Really?” She said. Apparently she had never chatted or even met a crossdresser and we started to chat. A few minutes later I said to her “Well I guess being labeled an ugly woman is still perceived as passing as a woman” And she started apologizing to me for her behavior!! Very weird start but in the end not too bad a 20 minute chat!! I suspect she was a dominate lesbian looking to beat up on submissive females!!! She even asked if I had had something removed!!! Hell No!!! hehehe And how big it was! “Big enough to produce 2 kids and small enough to tuck comfortably” <grin>

Now I’ve been attacked online before but it’s always for being a crossdresser, never for being a woman!! LOL Anyone else have anything strange like that?

That's terrific! I have been mistaken for a woman a couple times during online chats. I always make no secret of my actual vs presented gender in my profile or whatever, but it comes up occasionally. Never in person so far, because I don't get out much :(

Occasionally I will get into an IM chat with someone in Spanish or French. It's really a hoot when you have to explain your presented gender in a non-native tongue. Mercifully Eddie Izzard did all the necessary translation into French. Then I sit back and wait for either the immediate dropoff, the explosion of profanity or, in one case, a nice compliment with a polite end to our conversation.

Joy, On my model the 7290, I use the Cinular's mMode browser to access Yahoo's Mobile IM. And it has a menu system that allows me to see my friends that are online and IMs when they arrive. To everyone I appear to be online but mobile and I can't see profiles so can't tell who strangers are, but after doing this for a few years, I can tell by the ID and the opening statement whether I want to chat with someone or not.

Example...Shemalebanger, Analbrutality, and Crushing_your_manhood are not going to be fun chats!! LOL

Other blackberry's have mobile messinger built in or you can use use the yahoo version of IM that send text messages to your blackberry the same as a cell phone.

Karren -- I'm with Joy on the technology (although my children could all enlighten me if I asked). However, I think it was just downright rude of that woman to berate you like that no matter the technology. I'm glad she apologized, but still... A compliment it was (?) unless she was fishing to see if you really were what you appeared to be. And by the way, add me to the list of those who think that you make a beautiful woman.

I was out and about one time with some friends dress shopping in the Mall. I was presenting as a girl with a low cut top, showing a decent amount of natural cleavage. Some prissy high school came up to me after apparently overhearing my rather masculine voice (which I don't attempt to disguise at all) and she asked if I was "a transgender". I replied yes and she made a distgusted face and said rather loudly, "You are so gross. EWWWW!" My friends went after them verbally while I was laughing my a$$ off at her snide, gratuitous comment. I later told that girl that I hadn't planned to have any surgery in my life if that's worth anything to her (not that I care what she thinks, just figured she wanted actual facts as opposed to assumptions). She said and I quote, "You've already had the operation."
Oh ok. How stupid and ignorantly stubborn do you have to be in order to insist that someone has had surgery?!?
And I think I would have remembered that surgery... ouch!

She was assuming of course that I'd had SRS and breast augmentation apparently, which considering I've had no cosmetic surgery in any form, was definitely an unintentional compliment (that I thoroughly enjoyed).

Awwww You guys.....girls are special!!! Thanks. hehehe And I love to chat but you do meet a lot of odd people. Here is a Yahoo 360 tip. If you allowed 360 to display that you are on IM, you can set the permission as loose (public) or as tight (friends) as you want. I have found that setting it to friends of friends will give you plenty of exposure but not overwhelming!! But with 250 friends on 360 and their friends.....Ekkkkk thats a bunch of folks!!!! And with 110,000 views on my 360 page since Jan first.....
