View Full Version : It's a Boy!

It's a Boy! Those are the words my parents wanted to hear when I was born, but Mother Nature played a trick on them and gave them what they asked for wrapped up in a different package. I just wanted to share that 45 years later, the process has begun to remove the misleading wrapping and reveal the truth. That is, yesterday I got my first "T" shot and although I know it's going to take a while to get the effect I desire (at least physically), I'm on my way. I'm excited and relieved - now I need to celebrate. Drinks are on me!

Well Lex, let me tell you I was in the same boat..dear Mother wanted a girl sooooo badly..I was number 3 boy in the family...she got pregnant and hoped number 4 would be the girl she so much wanted...and was...shocked when it was another boy...well I guess she got 3.5 boys! hehe

Oh, and by the way..congratulations on your transition...

Great news Cap, and you know what this means? In a short while you'll be able to grow a bl***y great pirate's beard. :) Just need a parrot and wooden leg now... Oh and a tricorn.

Take care :)

Well, I hope to be able to grow at least a goatee like the one in my avatar. Don't have a parrot yet, but my parakeet likes to sit on my shoulder.

For those who want progress reports: I think I may start a thread in the FtM section that I can update from time to time. Of course, there's nothing to report yet - except euphoria.

Goatee's look cool, I always liked the look of Blackadder II's beard (if you have seen that in the US?).

Purely out of my own interest (and because I'm an awkward cow), if your thread is about your transition journey, would it not be best in the TG section? I ask mainly because I had a thread in this section, and wouldn't have thought of posting in the MTF section as it's for CDs. I sort of assumed that the FTM section was mainly for CDs too tbh, with TGs of either variety catered for here. Have I misunderstood that the MTF and FTM sections aren't analogues?

Take care all :)

Now you've gone and done it - gotten all 'serious' about this TG thing! :D

Congrats (and good luck) on the new path in your journey!

Love & Stuff,
Donna

Actually, Maria, you're right. I hadn't thought it through when I suggested that. I was just thinking that the other FtMs would be the ones primarily interested in the transition notes, but it makes much more sense to put it in the TG/TS section where all interested parties can see it, even if they don't usually meander into the FtM section. Thanks for pointing that out. :hugs:

I had a feeling you'd say something like this. I had to deal with those feelings myself before I decided whether to transition. I know part of me will always be female, and I'm okay with that. What I'm not okay with is not looking male, so that's what I'm really changing.
