I been slowly narrowing and reshaping my eye brows. I think I went a little too far, I stepped back from the mirror for a look after a little more plucking today and "Yikes"!! Well I'll just have to live with it, I hope all goes well at work. I'm sure a lot of you wax or pluck, but how far do you take it, if at all??

Here are some tips:

A. Imagine a vertical line going up from the outside of your nostril towards your forehead. The inner part of the eyebrow should converge with this line.
B. A straight line going out from the outside corner of your nostril past the outer corner of your eye marks the end of your eyebrow.
C. Your arch should be found two thirds of the way from your inner eyebrow.

Thank you Kew. I have been wanting to do this but had no clue. Also too shy to ask.

Hi Rachelle, I just pluck the extraneous ones and use the rest for a base. That way I can experiment with different looks. I define the arch with the pencil and then pluck the obvious ones. I get them as symetrical as possible by eye (no protractor here) as I'm no fussbudget. Sometimes I go with a straighter look, sometimes I make a bigger arch--depends on my mood and the look I'm trying to achieve. I don't take a lot of time but it comes with experience. My record from finishing shaving and getting out the door is 1/2 hour. As long as I look nice, I'm good to go. works for me. Ericka

I pluck also very thinish but leave the individual hairs a little lon so I can muss them up for male mode! And use clear mascara to hold them inplace when enfemme... works great in both modes...

Thanks for all of the tips, and feed back. I had a little heart burn over my brows because they are a little to feminine looking, I didn't want any grief at work. I ruffed them up a little and all went well today, at least there wern't any comments that I herd.
Thanks again KewT, Karen and all

Don't sweat it Rachelle. I thought I got carried away last year. I kept plucking away one night, next morning, OMG!! I was SURE that the ladies that also worked in my office would notice. They didn't say a word. Believe me, if they had noticed, The girls I worked with would have had lots to say. I think I even posted something on this forum.
I pluck out the white hairs and those obnoxious thick shiny black ones that are suspiciously similar to pubic hairs. I have had my brows waxed, but the technicians are hesitant to 'go too far'. After I had mine waxed a couple of weeks ago, I thought I noticed a couple of people focusing on my brows, but nothing was said, and it could have been my imagination. Just work on them every couple of days until they are how you want them. The girls have given lots of good advice. Pluck on!

Yes, the slow and steady method is the best. I'm gradually plucking and thinning my rather 'heavy' eyebrows into a feminine arch.
My hope is that people won't notice if I pluck my eyebrows carefully and they just get used to the slow change in my eyebrow appearance, so much so they don't actually notice anyway!

I had mine plucked at a small beauty salon. I went in bloke mode and started by saying I just wanted them tidied up a bit and perhaps a bit thinner without looking too girly. No problem as lots of blokes get it done these days (even in New Zealand). I went in bloke mode to make sure it looked OK for bloke mode. I was pleased with the result and it easy to add a bit of an arch with an eyebrow pencil when in girl mode.
