I have a question that I have been thinking about for several days now and I have been weighing it back and forth as to how I feel. As most of you know I am fairly new to the CDing of my husband, at the capacity that he is doing it now. I have been helping him pick out clothes and shoes, but Ive yet to meet her full force, my question is when you go out in public does your husband wear his wedding ring I know this is a really stupid question and I shouldn't sweat the small stuff but I was holding his hand the other day and it occurred to me that I didn't exchange wedding rings with her and it made me sad to think that maybe she wouldn't want to wear it or maybe I don't want her to wear it did or do any of you feel that way? I maybe so totally wrong in what I am feeling, but I had to ask

This is certainly not a stupid question. My husbands wedding band has three diamonds in it but it looks like a guys ring. I simply went out and bought a cheep ring that looks like a girls wedding ring and he wears that. I don't want him to look out of place but I want others to know he is spoken for.

By the way :hello: and :welcom: to the foum.

I got a lovely set of rings for Rena. There is a Celtic trio in silver as a first set then a diamond(?) band and she wears them together. Sometimes she mixes then up or only wears one or two.Funny in guy mode -no rings. Almost lost a finger at work so for about twenty five years no rings but with Rena chatting with so many people I though it was better to have them on. Not that anyone can see them on line but I know they are there. My Little magpie will wear anything bright and shiny.:c9:

First hon, no stupid questions. Everyone has to ask this stuff. :D

If he ain't wearing that ring...wow! I would be really pissed! When we married, of course I knew about the dressing, so we made sure to get a simple band that was not terribly wide. When he is en femme he wears that band plus a cubic zirconian engagement ring....{and for those thinking I am too cheap to buy a real diamond ring, dont'....once we have been married for 15 years I plan on giving her a real diamond engagement ring, probably take me that long to save!}

To me a ring, regardless of what is is wroth, shows to people attachment and commintment.

I have known guys who dressed and choose not to wear one....not cool in my book.

I mean there are plain silver ones you can order custom online if you are too embarrassed to go to a ring shop to size one out. So.....it really means ALOT to me. I NEVER take my ring and engagement ring off ever!

Not a silly question at all. Nigella always wears her wedding ring, also an engagement style ring with three diamonds in it that I bought her last Christmas, the stones represent "the past, the present and the future.

its not a silly question.

What's important here is how you and your husband view your rings. If you really want her to wear one while enfemme, then just ask.. Or take a hint of these other smart ladies and present her with one. How romantic is that?!?! What CD wouldn't want to be proposed to? :love: You girls are awsome!

For me & mine.. we're way lax on the rings. We don't always wear a wedding ring especially when working. We don't put the emphasis that some do on the ring showing the world that we're "taken". But its always pretty obvious we're together.

In the end its the two of you who matter. So do what suits you two best.

Dian wears size 12.5 wedding band and school ring no matter what attire she is in.

We are coming up on our first anniversary (May 15th) of Dian in our lives. We both were thinking of what to do for this special 1st anniversary and independently thought of rings. Our problem is that we both have very good taste in jewlery. We found a lovely set that was reasonable with some channel cut rubies and diamonds for me and saphires and diamonds for him - but more than we wanted to spend. Some day we will prioritize the rings, but for now a week long canoe trip on the Yukon River in Northern Canada is more important.
