To get dolled up? If I have the time it can take me 2 hours or so to get dressed and made up. The longer I take, the better I look, I've noticed that the older I get that it's more important to me to look as fem as I can, therefore taking longer than it used to, how about you?

Hmm, guess I must be doing something "wrong". For me it's 1/2 hour and out the door after I shave. Sometimes it may take 45 minutes if I'm being extremely fussy like if the wig or outfit isn't "working." Maybe I'm TOO organized, I dunno. Don't obsess too much as I have places to go and people to see. When I get there if something is out of place or I forgot something, I do what every red blooded American woman would do--Fake it! Take care, Ericka

I've been doing this for some time now so I guess, through practice etc, I can do the job in about 30/45 mins from stepping out of the shower....dependant on where I'm going.

I still have some problems with makeup. I have to go slow with the eye makeup. My eyes are so sensitive they hate to be messed with. Usually about an hour and a half to two hours. But it takes my girlfriend that long too so I don't feel bad about it.

It depends what on my agenda. If it's a night out on the town to the "nines" it might take me an hour. Most other times I've learned to do it "on the run", you know the women holding up traffic putting their lipstick on at red lights LOL. :tongueout

To dress, after showering, 30 to 45 minutes. but normally I'll change looks and outfits, so it's never ending really.

I run frm about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on whether or not I do my eyes. I don't bother with nails at this time, so that saves time. And I'm not including shower and shave time, either.

Just standing in front of the mirror I'm up to about a half hour now, I used to do it in five or ten minutes but those days are gone as you work toward a better look.

Actually Elizabeth, it was "The art and illusion of crossdressing" by JoAnn Roberts. Available I think from Suddenly Fem and other companies. She shows a lot of tricks in that but since then, I've come up with some of my own "short cuts". Sometimes I have a limited "window" to leave as even though the neighbors know about me, no need to give them an unnessessary "show". I get my "costume" for the night ready ahead of time then all I have to do is my makeup and then slap on the outfit. With experience, you can come up with your own "time savers". Karren is the "master", I mean "mistress" of this and I admire her ingenuity a lot. Just don't tell her I said that. LOL Ericka

I've gone from "getting in the shower" to "going out the door" in less than 30 minutes. My benefit for that is that I've been having electrolysis done. So the shaving bit is minimal and there isn't very much to worry about when it comes to beard cover. After doing "problem shaving areas" (I have a dimple for one), my electrologist started hitting the "dark" hairs. So you have to be real close or I have to go a couple days without shaving to notice facial hair. (The last time I went to Atlantic City, I cleaned up and shave late morning. Spent the day in AC and because I didn't have my reservations until Sunday night, I just slept in the bed in my van. Got up Sunday morning, went into the ladies room and washed up, put on new make up and went out and about until the afternoon when I could check in. Finally shaved again when I got ready to go out for dinner.) Jaie

It takes me on average about an hour and a quarter. Longer if I'm lacing up a corset or other time consuming apparel.

Nope, the older I get, the better I get at dressing and the quicker. So if I'm in a hurry, which is 95% of the time, its 10 minuters to dress plus 10 minutes for makeup and hair. Of coarse if I'm not rushed, I could spend hours on my makeup alone!! LOL

Love Karren

For the picture in my avatar it took nearly 15 mins after the shower.
Having the wardrobe all there, it's just a bit longer getting dressed than as a bloke.
U/wear: 3 mins,
Skirt & top: 1 min,
Foundation makeup: 1 min,
Lippy and eyes: 4 mins.
Then hairpiece and shoes and feelin' pretty.

Makeup takes so long that I rarely have the time to be as purtah as I could be, which is less purtah than I'd like.

After the shower and shave. I usually take anywhere from 45 minutes to an Hour. It really depends on the look I'm going for though.

30 -45 mins depending how organised I am - then a further 30 mins of indecision and changing to make sure I'm wearing the right clothes.

It takes me about 45 minutes to include the shower. While in bootcamp, I learned to shave in the shower. I can do this without a mirror. With almost 40 years of practice at it, I can get a clean close shave by doing it just by feel. The heat and steam from the shower really softens the beard and allows for a really quick, close, clean shave. Now, this includes not only face, but underarms and chest. Legs are done separately in a bubble bath--done about once a week. I usually allow an hour so as not to hurry, but am always done early.

Add me to the list of those who take half an hour to 3/4 hour after shaving (just my face at this time). Hopefully, that's long enough to look good enough.

In the summertime, as long as it takes to throw a dress over my head and get into a pair of sandals. If it's winter and I want to put on pantyhose, it might take as long as ten minutes from beginning to end.

You look really great, especially your breasts. I am envious of your looks.
I still can't do my own makeup; I go to a salon and have a professional make me over.
