Ok you've covinced me to try pants so can anyone help me get the correct size? I wear size 44 waist and 30 length in mens jeans but they don't come up over my belly. I know from seeing alot of GG's wearing jeans that they wear them up over their bellys. My belly is very big. However i can get a pair of mens work pants size 46 up over my belly if that helps. ttfn

You probably need a woman's size 26 or 28. Your best bet is to go to a trore like Lane Bryant, take few pairs of jeans and try them on.

I don't know how comfortable you are in public but I've found with pants that the best way to fit them is to try them on. Go to a dept store that carries both men and women's clothes. Pick out a couple of womens slacks or jeans and then take them to the mens fitting room. If they check them at all it is usually just for how many, not what kind of clothing. I did this 3 times at Bradlees until I got just the right fit in a pair of jeans!

Indeed. I've done the same at Marshalls and TJ Maxx. But, one time at a Marshalls, the lady actually saw I was trying on girls' jeans because she saw the size tag on the hanger was size 11. Then she said I wasn't allowed to try those on because they wouldn't fit me ... Yeah right lady, I think I know my own pantsize. :tongueout Since then, I've been transferring jeans with Juniors' pantsizes on the hangers .. to size tag-less hangers before trying them on. :D

That's what I do .. I don't shop in my town, so I drive about fifteen to twenty minutes or so to the town where I'm not known so well and try on pants there. Even wear my tight low-rise out over there, too! ;)

I do not shop in my home town either as I know too many. If you count all the cats and dogs, we may have about 1800 people.
When I want to shop for Denise, i go at least hour and half from home, there I will be less likely to run into any one I know. If I did, I would be so far out of context that no one would probably realize who i was.
There is one store about half hour from home i often go to, but then only go there after supper.
Wether I am looking for slacks or skirts, if I can't try them on, I will not buy them, as I have found the cuts affect the sizes drastically. Particular in skirts, i have 3 different sizes and all fit very well
If the store does not want me to try clothes on, I will go to one that is accommodating, after all we spend money too.
So far I have never been refused to try on anything in the ladies section or ladies stores, but then when shopping for Denise, I am always femme

I wouldn't have the nerve to shop enfemme there's no way I would pass. Been out enfemme in daytime but it was around halloween and they assumed I was on my way to or from a costume party. Maybe if someone could help me with make-up I could pass but only then would I try going into a store dressed. ttfn
