I don't know about Hawaii, but here its common that drag shows are frequented by women first and gay men second.

ok, a couple things

1. why are they comparing this to will and grace? I'm not an avid watcher of that show, but I'm pretty sure it was mostly about a gay guy living with a woman, not drag queens
2. it is surprising how many women go to drag shows (I guess most men find it disturbing, and there's not enough gays/transgendered to support a show)
