View Full Version : Male baldness

I would love to be able to sport my own long hair ... IF ... I had enough to do so. Mother Nature has blessed me, just like many GM with male baldness; not as drastic or pronounced as my brother, but I still look like a Friar (Think Cadwell). Wigs are an option, but they seem so ... so ... artificial, real hair or not.

Thoughts?

Depending on your financial state (not to mention determination), you do have alternatives. Weaves, transplants, and Rogaine are but a few ways to deal with the "friar" malady.

Or..... You could go all Hulk Hogan with your hair and make a bold statement.

If you don't want to look like a frair you could dress like a nun. They have their head covered and it's more approriate for a CD :lol2:

I am blessed with the same gift. I came to the conclusion, if: wig or hat

ive never worn a wig. i didnt like them when i was 5, and i dont like them now, so i can relate to not wanting to use them.

as far as the baldness thing goes .. its horrid. i was starting to lose my hair and i hated it with a passion.
my lovely wife went out and bought me some stuff that we tried and it did work to stop the hair loss and there were some regrowing too.
now that im on my TS meds my hairs mostly all grown back, so thats just a load of my mind.

if you search online there are a whole mess of things out there that claim to work .. some arent all that expensive when you really look at it ..
then there are many forums that will give you reviews of effectiveness .. so you wont end up being ripped off.

otherwise, like sharon said, money permitting you could go to some of those hair loss clinics and see what the specialists have to offer in their funky new technology.

Go on! Try a wig! I've got that baldy thing going on too and have two wigs (so far!), one synthetic and one "real hair". Like them both but the human hair feels soooo good!

If you get the right wig and have it styled to your face, it will look very natural.

I'm not bald on top, it's my "solar panel" and all of the rest of the "bald" jokes.

I stopped into a wig shop about three weeks ago checking out male "hair pieces" tried one on made of real hair, and while it didn't look bad, (matched my hair color very nicely) I kinda felt foolish wearing it.
Now when I put on Phyliss's wig I feel fine. Go figure.

I've learned to accept my lack of hair. Look just like Friar Tuck.

As well as wigs, there are items called toppers, these are not cheap, but there blended in to you own hair, hence there part wig part you, and can be made to look very natural.

but a really good wig, give much the same result, for a much cheaper price.

There a saying that goes, you never see a good wig, only a bad one!

I'm fairly bald, but I think it actually enhances my experience of cross dressing by contributing to the contrast between my male and en-femme presentations.
I bought quite an expensive (artificial) wig, that looks quite realistic. I relish the final step in my transformation, which is to brush my lovely hair.

Doesn't matter to me Alexas. As Richard I've been bald since I was thirty. I wear wigs all the time. The reason I like wigs is because of the many styles and colors I can choose, kind of like Cher. I just figure, I was probably made bald for a reason, maybe this is it. I always try to look at the positive side anyway. My friends accept me both as Ericka, the flowing hairded beauty and Richard the bald guy. As always, it depends on your outlook on things. Take care, Ericka

Plugs and tranplants are expensive, i have a full head of hair (not bragging) Sometimes I feel like shaving my head so it won't be sooo hot while I am wearing my wig (s) . I'd grow my hair long if I was more patient, and if i thought I could be happy with one style.
And if you think naure played a mean trick on you...just look what she did to me. ...put a girl in a boy's body!:lol2:

My makeover lady once suggested that I try some hair extensions, they can be added and can last for weeks, if not longer. After they are added, your hair can then be colored, cut, permed, etc into almost any hair style you wish....

There are herbs on the market that are for hair and nails, you may want to check them out....

OK, wigs are not real but if you get a really good one, and mean a good one, (I only paid $266 for mine) they can really look good. I challenge anyone to honestly say my wig looks crap in real life. It's so soft and for all intents and purposes, to me, its as good as real hair. Also I agree with Jenney if your folically challenged, to me, it actually enhances the feeling of being feminine because one goes from one exteme to the other in one move. :)

Hi Alexa,
A couple of statements for people who are folically challenged,
'Grass never grows on a busy street' and 'God only made so many perfect heads, all the rest he covered with hair'.Go on buy some wigs then you can change colour (color) and style to suit your personality at the time.Go for it Alexa Girl.

Best Wishes Jill

Alexa, yours looks great. I bought some wigs on eBay, and they just didn't work. My GF and I went on a Rocky Mountain getaway over Christmas2004. I dressed and she made me up, but the wig was the weak link. I believe that wigs must be bought in person, and tried on. If yu get a good retailer, they can look as good as Alexa's.
