Hi All,
This week I had to partake in a junior science academy in Virgina. I was driving through Lexington, VA on Tuesday morning early afternoon. While driving through the downtown area on our way to Virginia Tech for the conference I thought I saw one of us walking through town. The was a striking brunette, wearing a beautiful black leather skirt in classic length and black leather boots. I was not sure about the face, but I think it to be one of us because she was a bit tall in stature, and what southern gg would take the time to wear a stunning leather ensemble in late May. If I am correct, and you are part of this forum. Kudos to you love, I wished that I wasn't driving the car but rather walking along the streets next to you.:D

Well, Saskatchewan is a long way from Virginia, and I am not the sister you saw, but, I had the same experience recently. I was walking briskly up a side street, slightly late for a lunch meeting, and noticed a STRIKING lady j-walking from across the street. She was at least 6 feet tall, wearing great boots, awesome skirt, and a jacket that blew open just when she approached her vehicle, revealing perfect breasts under a slightly tight red top. I really had to think about going around the vehicle, (an SUV), and telling her how great she looked. She was incredibly attractive, and definitely feminine, but, there was something about her build and demeanour that made me think she might be one of us. Inspiring!!

You know, this reminds me of a thread awhile back, that got rather heated, about how some members claim they can 100% accurately identify a person's sex at 100 yards in a single glance. I vehemently disagreed. It sounds like both of you would agree with my position. Sometimes you just aren't sure. You certainly aren't any less observant, and you certainly aren't disinterested. I think you are merely more enlightened, and not so quick to judge, and I admire that in you.
Of course, the international olympic committee struggles with this every four years. Gender is not binary, and there is no "solution".
I guess the only reason any of this matters is that we ultimately want to see our minority of the population represented in daily life, without fear of violence or ostracizing. For that to happen, we must all get out of the closet. I know, easier said than done!

Interesting point Bernice! 5 years ago my daughter and I were in Houston and SanAntonio, and decided to go over to New Orleans for the start of Mardi Gras. A friend had arranged a room at a Ramada on Bourbon and Taleuse. Awesome! When we were on Bourbon street talking to a busker, the conversation turned to the CD's across the street. I wasn't dressing at the time, but, when I looked at the 'ladies', I just thought that a couple of them were really femme. When the busker made his statement, and I headed over to 'the ladies' to check it out, I am sure my daughter thought we were dead.
I introduced myself, admired their technique, and asked who were gg. Two were gg, 3 were CD. All were absolutely gorgeous. But, there is sometimes that little niggling reservation that you have. And it is justified.

Will you settle for a 5 foot 10 inch Scottish girl?

Saw a show several years ago on cross dressing. The guest sead there was a CD in the audiance and that no one could pick her out. It wasn't hard for one woman who picked her out in short order. Her observations of the Cd were that she just acted to feminine. She looked great but she was dressed way better that the GG's around her.

Ms Eva -- That is something you would never see around this part of the country. Imagine, a guy dressed as a girl going out in public and pretending to be a girl. Unbelievable! And going to a shoe store to buy a pair of dress slides. No, it would never happen here.

A few years back, I was in a thrift shop (en drab) and noticed this rather tall, attractive "girl" casually browsing. She was too nicely dressed for the venue, and wearing high heels. GG's don't usually dress up to go to a thrift, and stay with flats or low heels if they're tall...so, I figured she was CD.
After trailing her for a bit, unobtrusively, of course :) , I approached her and asked "Pardon me Miss, are you a T-girl?" She turned, smiled prettily and asked in an unmistakenly femme voice..."What's a T-girl?" Uh...sorry, I thought you were someone I knew...:o

MsEva -- Don't think I haven't thought about it. Many years ago, the bride-to-be of a friend had me take her bridal pics upstairs there. It wasn't easy doing it with all those nice things around.
This fall I plan on having a fitting for a gown of some sort at some store. Where? I don't know. Maybe there.
