A court case here in the UK yesterday. A woman was carged with indecendent exposure for sunbathing nude in her back garden. ( indecent exposure ) the Judge threw it out of court saying that how people dressed or didnt on their property was up to them.

Great news. In this age of prying eyes, cameras, surveillance and omnipresent security, it is good to hear such a ruling from such a prestigious court!

The judgment was good news, however...this was not a complete victory for common sense. This lady sunbathed naked in her garden and then:

She was videoed by her neighbours, a questionable invasion of her privacy.

She was visited by police.

She was charged with an offence and had the worry of the court appearance

She was shunned by other neighbours in the area.

Regardless of the court judgment, this was a victory for small minded bigotry.
