So the purpose of this thread is for everyone who has gone outside dressed. Whether you were just in your car or out in public i'd like to hear your story.

My biggest adventure was of course to Ingersoll in Seattle. I changed in the bathroom then walked into the lounge btw. I didn't drive there dressed during the day. ;) First time i've ever been dressed where other people have seen me (besides ex-wife) all total strangers. First time i've ever gone to a TG meeting also come to think of it. Anyway it was awesome talking to all the other girls and drinking coffee or tea. Would love to do it again, but i'm not very good at driving in cities.

Many small adventures dressed in my car and going out onto lonely roads just walking up and down the street feeling the wind blow through me.
Totally exhilarating<sp> and felt free.

I dunno, got quite a few of them I guess. Kind of ranges from getting frisked by the police while dressed to unknowingly standing beside my wife's best friend while having a margarita at Pride. She stared at me a lot but has never said anything. Perhaps because she didn't want to openly admit that she was at Pride herself. I'll have to recall a couple of good ones I guess....

Lets see, I have been venturing out more and more enfemme starting to lose count on how many times I have done it. I go grocery shopping, clothes shopping, even apartment hunting enfemme. A couple of times lately I spent the whole day shopping even went and had my ears pierced enfemme. It was scary at first but know it is just natural for me. Though I did have a close encounter the last time I went shopping, I saw a couple of guys I know from work out in the malls when I went out a week ago. I even went and saw my therapist dressed at the last appointment I had with her.

Hi

well I thought I might as well post this link, rather than write it all out again.

http://crossdressers-forum.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6527

Basically I posted my bio on another CDing forum, it contain quite a bit about me, and my first couple of times, I passed out dressed, and the mistakes I made (sorry it's so long) but it is my account of my first few steps out in to the big bad world as a female, the first of which was at an age of just 15/16 (I was still at school!) total madness, and i understand the danger I put myself in then, but I just had this desire to get out dressed, and I did. So this is my story. (Not Fiction as requested!)

ive been out and about quite a few times.
it kind of stopped though, cause i dont like putting on so much makeup in order to hide things .. so im waiting until laser takes it course.

but .. having said that .. weve been invited to attend my parents citizenship'ing. they are becoming australian citizens (for some silly reason ) and its going to be some kind of ceremony and dinner.
so its a semi formal type of affair .. soooo .. ive got to make sure i look nice  ..

i wonder if the mayor and the politicians will come shake my hand too?
:D

so i think that would be an outing to talk about .. and its tomorrow night .. so i will let you know how it goes.

Although I've only been out "in public" twice and both times during the day time, I think I really surprised myself with my daring. Once fully dressed, wig, makeup, skirt, blouse, sandals. The second time in drab, but with makeup on.

Am I crazy or just being myself?

To keep this post short, I'm providing links to a more detailed posting.

Hi Brianna,

Well, I'm not qualified to diagnose you :winking: but I don't think you're crazy at all. And from your picture, I'd say that you look like a middle-aged woman that I might see at the Home Depot some Saturday. While I might soften the blue eye shadow a bit (I liked the eye shadow better on the pic with the blonde wig), I like the dark hair on you. You've definitely got the look going, girl!

Even though I've been visiting other TVs privately and have spent lots of time with two GG friends while being "en femme", I've only been out in public once.

I was in Manhattan, hosted by our friends who live in the lower East Side. I had planned a visit to CDI NY in May, last year.
I prepared myself quite carfully, trying to look as much like a GG as I could be. My GG friend helped me in that endeavour...

Once all dressed, my friend drove me to the flat where CDI-NY is located.

As soon as we got out of the door of her flat, my friend met a neighbour and I was facing the first "unknown" person while dressed "en femme". I was rather worried of the reaction. But either because that neighbour was polite or because I was passing well enough, there was no problem at all. After that we walked in the street to the garrage where my friend had her car. That was wonderful, walking down the street arm in arm, chatting like two girls. For me there was the great feeling of the air on my legs, the pleasure of walking a long way rather than just walking around in my flat.

The next great experience was to be driven in Manhattan streets and avenues, siting in a car, legs crossed, feeling the material of my nylon stockings sliding against eachother.
My friend dropped me in front of the door of CDI-NY. The street was really crowded and I was on my own. I didn't feel very comfortable. Fortunately the door was quickly oppened and I got in immediately.

I won't spend time with the great reception I got from the members of CDI-NY, it was fantastic and I hope to have again the opportunity to visit them some time in the near future.

At about 10:30 PM my girl friend came back to pick me up. I felt the same stress as soon as I came out on the sidewalk which was even more crowded than when I arrived. I climbed quickly in the car. Got the same great experience of a ride in Manhattan streets.

When we got back to the garage of my friend, she left me go back home while she was parking the car. I was again on my own. Since her flat is in a park, I had to walk for quite a while alone. Just a hundred yards before I got to the building entrance, two males appeared in the garden's aisles, walking in my direction. Here I was, alone, feeling very vulnerable as a woman might feel, and even more so if those two guys had realized I was an X-Dresser, which I think they did as they went by me... Fortunately they didn't react badly, except perhaps turning their heads around to check if they had really seen what they had seen :D

I got in the building entrance real quick and was glad I was safely home...

Since then I promisssed myself never to be out in the streets alone.

Hi,

I have been out fully dressed on many occassions. My wife and I go on holiday for a week every year when I dress 24/7. It is such a wonderful feeling being how I feel.
We have toured the areas of Dorset and Devon, shopped in Exeter, Barnstable, Dartmouth, Bournmouth, and the major town in the area.
I also have been shopping dressed in Tesco's and Marks and Spencer. No body batted an eyelid.
I was once waved down by a Police Officer as the road ahead was closed, he just redirected me onto another route.
I try to dress so that I don't stand out in a crowd, but always wear a skirt, not trousers, and of course I wear make up but not over the top.

Love

R U kidding....go out dressed in fetish wear...............hahahahah I do it all the time !!!
I find it no problem going out dressed the way I do, well....sometimes you wonder if that pair of hot pants, garter belt and spider web stockings will be a bit "too much" but I am what I am...right !
We have regular monthly "girls nites out" ( I go out at least 3~4 times a month) so going out is common,
Nothing really exciting has happened so far.....well almost rear ending an Amish buggy @ 55 was a bit of a scare but so far uneventful for me.

My first time going out dressed was to a TriEss meeting. After that the door was open to me, I do it all the time. The Mall is great and love sewing centers as I am learning to sew my own clothing. The girls are great and love that I buy from them. They say they don't care that I'm a CD. Also it did not even come up, till I had to use my credit card. Then the Woman just looked at me, and said " Hun, I'd not believe this was you" and smiled. Told me I just looked so lovely She'd a never known. Also that it's ok with them that I came there.

Sewing Centers, the Mall and Walmart I love to just go and browse. :D

To get used to going out dressed originally, I'd go driving around dressed. Then I'd take a lunch in the park dressed. It was very small baby steps for me. Yes, I still get nervious sometimes when the Mall Cops look me up and down. But they never do more than that.

Today I just returned from going to the post office. The urge was strong to be a little fem, so I had on shorts white ancle socks runners and a pair of nude thigh highs. I live in a very small town so this was very risky but no one appeared to notice my sun tanned legs. What a thrill to do this. Bobbie Anne

I can sure relate to Ingersoll , which by the way, is a gender consuling center, and meeting place in Seattle.
When I dress, I have this need to get out, so Ingersoll was always a safe place for me to go.I learned a lot, and met some nice people over the years. I still have some fond memories of my first few times out, that special week in October, 1989!

My most exciting time out enfemme was several years ago when with my wife I was enfemme for two weeks as we toured Australia and New Zealand. Last year I remained enfemme for 15 nights as we cruised from Rome to Houston. Now being retired and being enfemme most of the time is my dream come true.

Hugs,

I'm a GG and I'm dating a CD..and I want to tell you this story about me barely noticing a CD. I was shopping at a factory sale and a lady passed me who looked like an elegantly dressed older lady, not particularly pretty but nicely made up...she said "excuse me" as she brushed past...in the deepest male voice...I looked back and quickly noted that yes, that probably was a wig..but i'd seen her for 10 minutes before she spoke and I hadn't noticed at all. She was quite short..maybe 5'7''. I think its the taller girls who get noticed more...I had a GG friend who was 5'11'' (and a gorgeous flowing haired model and mother of two) and people always used to say "THATS A MAN!" about her. She just ignored them. But I see the problem for taller CD's. It's what seems most incongruous to me about my SO hotxbuns when he's dressed. He's a DARNED tall girl, esp in 3 inch heels. I suppose low heeled shoes defeats the purpose....

One of my more fun times was about three years ago when I was working at Lerners (now New York & Co). It was summer, and I had a day off from my full time job and decided to dress up and go shopping. I dressed in a pair of white cropped pants, a blue tank top with white heeled sandals. I did the full wig and makeup. I went to the store (Lerners) and began to brouse. One of my fellow SA's, who had worked many shifts with me, came up to me and asked me what I was looking for. I handed her the items that I was carrying, and she set me up a fitting room. I glanced at my smiling manager, who knew who I was (she had seen me dressed before. My fellow SA, who was helping me, knew I was a cd, but had never seen me dressed. I realized that my bud did not have a clue who I was. I continued to shop, went in the fitting room, tried each outfit on, came out to the threeway mirror and got her opinion. Still not a hint of recognition. I was just amazed. I selected two outfits. My bud, the SA, complimented me on my selections. I walked to the wrap desk to be checked out by the manager. Because I was an employee, the manager has to do all employee checkouts at the register. She asked me if S----- knew who I was. I said, "I don't think so". My manager then asked me to come back in about 1/2 hour, and that she would tell S----- who I was. When I walked back in about 1/2 hour later I got a big smile and a hug from S------. I had actually pulled it off completely. She told me that she thought it was a cd, but had no idea that it was I. That kind of experience can give a girl a lot of confidence.

I have been to several parties dressed, the first of which was a New Years Eve party. the most memorable time though was when we went to visit some friends who lived several hours away and I got to make the trip dressed. My wife was a nervous wreck the whole way but I was thrilled and when we walked in at their house and I was dressed he was very thrilled too. His wife just smiled but did compliment me on my outfit.

It was about 7 years ago and we (my wife and I) had been invited to a rural neighborhood Holloween party. I had permission to go, fully dressed. So, my wife and I toured a couple of women' clothing stores that specialize in consigning of clothing. We had purchased a pair of open toed straples heels when we had gone to a conference to LA a few years earlier and walked on Rodeo Drive for several blocks, both dressed to the 9s.

I digress. We finally found a gorgeous chiffon dress that matched the shoes to the t. We also purchased a new aubourn wig that went very well with the dress and shoes.

We arried a bit late to the event and I made an entrance by myself to see if those already in attendance would recognize me. Very few did or were willing to try. A while later I was speaking with some of the ggs at the party when the husband of one of the ladies walked up to speak with his wife. He was standing to my left and almost refused to look my way. Finally his wife had to inform him of who I was. He was one of my best friends, both then and now. He was hard put to believe it was me, until I began to speak. I turned out to be somewhat of a hit at the party. My wife was really reserved in letting me go to the event in the first place until most did not believe that I would do such a thing. There was a elderly lady to told my wife that if she were 40 years younger she would take me away from her. That caused a stir for a bot of the party, to say the least.

My first outing was in all mens clothing, but with pantyhose. My legs had hair. No one seemed to react. One guy in a wheel chair watched me walk by. And I think a cashier noticed. Later, I tried it several times with little or no reaction.

After a halloween where I dressed, I had shaved legs, so I wore shorts with hose and women's shoes to the mall. No one noticed except for a couple teens. It was wonderful.

I went out as a man several times wearing all womens' wear including ladies khaki pants.

I went out in shorts with dark taupe hose a few times (all of my clothes were femme). One time, I went this way to an antiques store and browsed amongst the other custormers with no reaction. Then I went to a chinese restaurant and ate. The teenage daughter of the restaurant owner looked hard at me. At the cash register, the mother asked me if I was cold. I don't know if she saw the hose. It wasn't well lit.

One time I bought a skirt while dressed in shorts and nude hose. I got up some nerve and wore the skirt out of the store. Later I wore that skirt to a lake in town where you can walk around to exercise. It was after dark, and only one person seemed to notice. He turned and watched me go by. I don't think his wife saw. It was so dark that everyone was a silouette.

Later I dressed in a skirt, blouse, black hose, flats, man head, and went back to the store and shopped. I left there and went to the mall. I walked around an anchor store and then ventured a little way into the mall. It felt safe, so I kept going. I ended up walking the whole mall! I was scared and happy all at once. (Later, I found out that someone I know is a manager in that mall!!! I guess she wasn't there that day!) People noticed this outfit, but no one spoke to me. Only two girls working at the foot locker laughed loudly (so don't shop there!!)

My only fully enfemme outings were for costumes, or halloween. I have gone on short trips enfemme with my hood up on my coat to hide my head and with a scarf. I have also gone out enfemme in the rain, while using an umbrella.
